Islamabad, July 25 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has expressed concern over the continued brutalities by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The APHC-AJK in a statement issued in Islamabad said that Indian forces were utilising all tactics to suppress the ongoing liberation movement but would never succeed in its nefarious designs.

It also expressed concern over the illegal detention of senior APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah in New Delhi’s Tihar jail. It said Shabbir was arrested on July 25, 2017 in a fabricated case and competed two years Tihar Jail in Delhi.

The APHC-AJK also expressed concern over the illegal detention of other Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.

It also welcomed the acquittal of four Kashmiri prisoners, Mirza Nisar, Muhammad Ali Killay and Muhammad Latif after 23 years. It added their 23 precious years were wasted in jails which is a big question mark on the Indian judiciary.

It said Indian forces are committing the worst kind of rights violations in occupied Kashmir and are killing innocent Kashmiris on daily basis but the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till complete success.

The APHC-AJK urged the international community to take notice of Indian atrocities and take steps for implementation of UN Kashmir resolutions so that permanent peace could be established in the region.
