Jammu, July 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an 82-year-old woman died and her son got seriously injured after a landslide hit their mud house in Doda district of Jammu region, today.

Reports said that due to overnight rains, a mud house collapsed in Baggar area of the district after it was hit by landslide, resulting in the killing of the woman, Acheri Devi, and injuring of her son, Mishar Das.

The reports said at least 25 sheep also perished in the incident, which occurred at around 6 a.m.

Meanwhile, around 100 sheep and goats were killed in an incident of cloudburst in Tral area of Pulwama district.

An official said that cloudburst hit Bradi Angan area of Tral resulting in the death of around 100 livestock including sheep and goats. He said that no loss of human life was reported in the incident.

The Srinagar-Jammu highway, the only surface link of the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the world, was closed for traffic, today, after shooting stones and mudslides hit the road at several places in Ramban district.
