Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peer Panchal Peace Foundation, Haneef Kalas chairing a meeting of his party in Poonch, Jammu, welcomed the acquittal of four Kashmiris by the Indian court. He said they spent precious years of their life in jail and no one could return it to them.

The participants of the meeting condemned the Indian brutality, keeping them behind the bars for long 23 years, adding that their acquittal is a question mark on the Indian judiciary.

They demanded democratic peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute so that permanent peace could be established in the region.
