Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a local court in Bandipora has granted judicial remand till July 29 to Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqilabi under draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act registered in Hajin police station, last year.

The prosecution, however, had sought 13 days judicial remand of Inqilabi, who was re-arrested immediately by police after his release from Kot Bhalwal jail, Jammu, on July 19 over quashing of his earlier Public Safety Act (PSA) by the High Court.

The family members said that Inqilabi was not released despite court orders and was taken to Hajin police station where he was booked in another false case.

He was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Hajin on Friday by police seeking his 13 days judicial remand. However, court after hearing arguments from both sides granted him judicial remand till tomrrow.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi was arrested by police in December last year in Pulwama.
