Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed anguish on the recent move by Indian government to add more than 10,000 armed forces to the already concentrated pool of armed forces in the territory.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar today said, the global concern about the gross human rights violations in occupied Kashmir has hit India very hard diplomatically and out of frustration, it has created fear psychoses and a war like scenario.

Hurriyat said that this land was already designated as a highest militarized zone in the world and India was shamelessly keeping on adding the armed forces to its armory, surprising everybody that its “Atoot Ang” needed more than a million army with latest weaponry to hold it to its domain.

APHC said, Indian army chief’s statement that “Kashmir cannot remain international issue for too long”—testifies the fact that Kashmir is a globally recognized dispute. Political compulsions and electoral lust kept Indian rulers in denial mode for decades together, but off and on they subconsciously accept the reality.

Hurriyat Conference said that concentrating the already saturated piece of land with more armed forces India was creating war hysteria and panic in length and breadth of the state, which made oppressor’s job of constitutional maneuvering and undemocratic manipulations more easy and palatable.

Hurriyat said that instead of war mongering and threatening statements, India should consciously take concrete steps to deescalate the rising war temperatures because its recent standoff with its nuclear neighbor after Pulwama incident had exposed bone chilling revelations to be seriously considered and thought out.

Hurriyat further said, recent global acceptance of the realities regarding Kashmir and voicing of China after the US and emerging geopolitical spectrum has unnerved India to a disturbing level—where Indian rulers think the only solution is muscle, might and military and they desperately try all the three. But, the APHC added, such measures have never succeeded in diluting the vigor of freedom.

Meanwhile, on the direction of the APHC chairman, Hurriyat spokesman Hakeem Abdul Rashid participated in the funeral in absentia of Altaf Ahmad Baba in Batamallo, who breathed his last in Muzaffarabad due to a massive heart attack.
