Another PSA on TeH leader denounced

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Bandipora district, raising the number of martyrs in the territory to five since yesterday.

The troops killed the youth during a violent military operation at Baktur in Gurez area of Banidpora district. Earlier, two youth were martyred during a cordon and search operation in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district, last night.Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation in Nowshera area of Rajouri district,today.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, strongly condemned the slapping of second draconian law Public Safety Act on party leader, Syed Imtiaz Haider, and his subsequent shifting to Amphala jail in Jammu. Sehrai said the court had quashed Imtiaz Haider’s PSA and ordered his release but he was, instead, kept in police custody till another PSA was slapped on him. »

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation in Nowshera area of Rajouri district.

The operation was jointly launched by Indian Army, police and Central Reserve Police Force in Kalsian area of the district.

A police official said that two suspects were seen moving in the area located close to Line of Control following which joint teams of army and police were rushed to the spot.

The troops have blocked all entry and exit points of the area and started house-to-house searches.

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam Paying rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, Bijbehara and Gurez has said that these brave hearts have laid down their lives to end the age-old slavery of their people by India.

Mushtaq-ul-Islam in a statement in Srinagar extended heartfelt condolences to the martyrs’ families saying that the Kashmiri people shared their grief.

He urged people to forge unity among their folds, and said that in these horrendous circumstances, “we need to repose faith in Almighty Allah only and seek His blessings.” »

Srinagar, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Anjuman Sharie Shian while protesting ban on Muharram processions by the Indian authorities has urged the Governor administration to lift the curbs imposed on religious processions in the territory.

Anjuman Sharie Shian in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the ban on the Muharram processions was tantamount to interference in the religious affairs of the people. The ban, it said, hurt the sentiments of the people saying that when the administration could provide security for the Amarnath Yatra, which is going on for the past one month, why it is not willing to do so for the Muharram processions, which last for a few hours. »

Jammu, July 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at a time when campaign by rightwing Hindu organisations against special status of Jammu and Kashmir has gained momentum, lawyers in Jammu have pitched for strengthening Articles 370 and 35-A.

Articles 370 and 35-A grant special status to Jammu and Kashmir and prohibit non-Kashmiris from acquiring land in the territory. Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party’s communal government in New Delhi is trying to abrogate these constitutional provisions to completely merge Jammu and Kashmir into the Indian Union and to change the demographic composition of Kashmir by paving way for settling Indian citizens in the territory. »
