Islamabad, July 31 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a meeting in Islamabad with its Convener, Syed Abdullah Gilani, in chair.

The participants expressed concern over the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian troops on the Line of Control and said that Indian forces were targeting innocent Kashmiris on the ceasefire line.

The APHC-AJK also expressed concern over the atrocities perpetrated by occupational Indian forces on political leaders in occupied Kashmir. It urged the international community to take notice of Indian brutalities against Hurriyat leaders and activists and play its role in stopping human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The meeting expressed shock over the death of freedom activist, Altaf Ahmed Baba, a resident of Batamaloo, Srinagar, in Muzaffarabad and hailed his services for the Kashmir cause. The meeting also expressed condolences over the death of Muhammad Ali Thokar, 11-year-old son of a Bhadarwah-based mujahid, Tauqeer Ahmed alias Naseer Ahmed Thokar, and the son of a mujahid from Poonch, Muhammad Ashfaq Bharwal in a road accident.

Those who attended the meeting included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Abdul Majeed Mir, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Abdul Majeed Malik, Adeel Mushtaq Wani, Nisar Mirza, Raja Khadim Hussain, Javed Iqbal Butt, Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Shamim Shawl, Syed Kifayat Hussain Rizvi and Imtiaz Wani.
