Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the situation developing on ground over the past week with deployment thousands of additional Indian troops has created panic amongst the people and they have become apprehensive of something happening in the territory.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing the Friday congregation at historic Jama Masjid in Srinagar said that various speculations were rife including removal of 35-A to change the demography of the occupied territory. He said that for the past three years there had been a great push towards it since various Public Interest Litigation (PILs) were filed in the Indian Supreme Court to challenge it. He said that like past, the people and leadership had to be ready to resist every attempt to undo it. »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Amina Malik, sister of illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that her brother is being tortured and put on a slow death trail by the Indian government for being a political adversary having a different political belief and ideology.

Amina Malik addressing a press conference in Srinagar, today, said that Yasin Malik was arrested on February 22, 2019 from his residence in Maisuma area of Srinagar and was slapped with draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) and sent to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu. She said that he was kept in solitary confinement at the said jail for one month or so and then was taken into custody by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) on baseless, concocted and fabricated charges and was arbitrarily shifted to New Delhi and tortured at the NIA headquarters. »

Indian troops martyr one more Kashmiri youth

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, all major entry and exit points of Srinagar and other towns have been taken over by the army and India has decided to deploy 28,000 additional troops in the territory.

The deployment has created a sense of fear and insecurity at the extreme level amongst the masses. The additional troops are being sent to occupied Kashmir in less than a week after New Delhi moved 10,000 soldiers to the territory. India has also put the Army and Air Force on high alert in the territory. Indian Air Force fighter aircrafts have been patrolling over occupied Kashmir since Thursday evening. The occupation authorities have issued an order, asking the Amarnath Yatris to curtail their stay in occupied Kashmir and return as soon as possible.

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Pandoshan area of the district. The operation continued till last reports came in. Earlier, one Indian soldier was killed and another was injured in an attack in the same area. »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested a noted journalist, Qazi Shibli, in Islamabad town.

Qazi Shibli, who is editor of a news website, was detained by Indian police and lodged at Sherbagh police station in the town.

The authorities arrested Qazi Shibli without any reason and are not producing him in court, a journalist told media men. »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, India is deploying over 28,000 more paramilitary troops in the territory to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for securing freedom from its illegal occupation.

These additional troops are being sent to occupied Kashmir less than a week after New Delhi moved 10,000 army soldiers to the territory.

Over 280 companies of paramilitary forces are being deployed in the Kashmir valley, official sources said. The paramilitary troops, mostly CRPF personnel, are being deployed in Srinagar and other parts of the valley, they said. However, no reason was given for the sudden deployment of over 280 companies (28,000 troops), the sources said. »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, one Indian soldier was killed and another injured in an attack in Shopian district, today.

Two Indian troops were critically injured in an attack during a cordon and search operation in Pandoshan area of the district. One of the wounded soldiers succumbed to his injures at Indian Army’s 92 base hospital in Srinagar.

Meanwhile, an Indian Army vehicle was damaged after it hit an Improvised Explosive Device IED) planted on the road in Zahidbagh area of Pulwama district. Soon after the incident, Indian police and troops cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. »

Washington, August 02 (KMS): The US President, Donald Trump, has reiterated his offer for mediation between Pakistan and India to resolve the decades old Kashmir dispute.

President Trump while replying to a question from the press on Kashmir said that he would certainly intervene on Kashmir if India and Pakistan wanted to.

When asked how he wants to resolve the Kashmir, the US President said, “If I can – if they wanted me to, I would certainly intervene.” »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, after deploying thousands of more troops in Kashmir valley, India has put the Army and Air Force on high alert in territory.

Reports said that Indian troops, mostly personnel of Central Reserve Police Force, are being deployed in Srinagar and other parts of the valley. All major entry and exit points of Srinagar have been taken over by the Indian armed forces with a token presence of local police, they said. The reports said the troops deployed on the Line of Control have also been asked to be alert. »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, has condemned the murderous attack on a prominent liberation leader, Shakeel Ahmed Bakhshi, by unknown people.

Bilal Siddiqi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the attack reflected the frustration and nefarious designs of Indian agencies to create confusion and division among the pro-freedom people. »
