JKPM condemns Indian sinister move in IOK

Jammu, August 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) has strongly condemned the sinister move of the Indian government to change the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.

APHC leader and the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem in a statement issued in Jammu said that the Indian move to strengthen its illegal occupation in Kashmir had no legal, constitutional, moral and ethical basis.

He said that the people of Kashmir had outrightly rejected Indian move as a conspiracy aimed at perpetuating its illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the people Kashmir were running a peaceful indigenous political movement for their inalienable right to self-determination and had been making supreme sacrifices for the past seventy years for their inalienable right to self-determination.

He said, occupied Kashmir has been locked down with strict curfew in place. The people have been deprived of basic amenities and it looks as if they have been denied right to life, he added.

The JKPM chairman thanked the government and people of Pakistan for standing in solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir at a time when India has robbed them of their status, identity and culture.

He called upon the United Nations and the world community to come forward and save the besieged people of Kashmir from the gross human rights violations being committed by Indian troops.
