Washington, August 02 (KMS): The US President, Donald Trump, has reiterated his offer for mediation between Pakistan and India to resolve the decades old Kashmir dispute.

President Trump while replying to a question from the press on Kashmir said that he would certainly intervene on Kashmir if India and Pakistan wanted to.

When asked how he wants to resolve the Kashmir, the US President said, “If I can – if they wanted me to, I would certainly intervene.” »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, after deploying thousands of more troops in Kashmir valley, India has put the Army and Air Force on high alert in territory.

Reports said that Indian troops, mostly personnel of Central Reserve Police Force, are being deployed in Srinagar and other parts of the valley. All major entry and exit points of Srinagar have been taken over by the Indian armed forces with a token presence of local police, they said. The reports said the troops deployed on the Line of Control have also been asked to be alert. »

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, has condemned the murderous attack on a prominent liberation leader, Shakeel Ahmed Bakhshi, by unknown people.

Bilal Siddiqi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the attack reflected the frustration and nefarious designs of Indian agencies to create confusion and division among the pro-freedom people. »

New Delhi, August 02 (KMS): India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) has said that it has attached assets worth Rs 1.73 crore of an incarcerated Kashmiri businessman, Zahoor Watali.

The ED said a provisional order has been issued for attachment of Rs 1.48 crore worth immovable properties of Zahoor Ahmad Watali’s family and Rs 25 lakh of his deposits in a Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch in New Delhi.

The ED case is based on a charge-sheet filed by India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA). »

Jammu, August 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu Bar Association has issued notice to former President and senior advocate, A V Gupta, and former Senior Additional Advocate General, Advocate Subash Chander Gupta Gupta, seeking explanation for making a statement on Article 35-A and till such time suspended their basic membership.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Bar Association held in Jammu with its President, Abhinav Sharma, in chair. »

Atrocities on IOK children gets UN attention

Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 11 Kashmiris including a minor girl and a woman during the last month of July.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, during the month, 80 people were critically injured due to the use of brute force and firing of pellets, bullets and teargas shells by Indian police and paramilitary personnel against peaceful protesters. At least, 46 Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth were arrested. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference chief spokesman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, was also among the arrested people. The troops damaged two residential houses during the period. »

Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and other Hurriyat leaders have strongly condemned the murderous assault on a prominent Hurriyat leader, Shakeel Ahmed Bakhshi, by unknown gunmen.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar, terming the assassination bid a deep conspiracy, said that such brazen acts had no justification at all.

He said hurting unarmed and innocent persons physically or verbally is not only un-Islamic but also inhuman behavior, which needs to be condemned in strongest terms. He added that anti-movement elements were resorting to such tactics to defame the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. »

United Nations, August 01 (KMS): The latest annual report of the UN Secretary-General has revealed that 31 children between the ages of 7 and 17 were killed during Indian armed forces’ operations in occupied Kashmir.

The UN Secretary-General’s report on Children and Armed Conflict further said that at least 150 children, some as young as one-year-old, were injured, mostly by pellet bullets used by the Indian forces.

The UN report while mentioning the perpetration of sexual violence against girls by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir particularly referred to the abduction, rape and subsequent killing of an 8-year-old girl, Aasifa, in Kathua area of Jammu region. The report said that she was abducted, drugged, raped for three days and murdered by special police officers. »
