Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC) and Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi have paid glowing tributes to martyrs of Shopian, Bijbehara and Gurez.

The JKMC Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement in Srinagar said the priceless sacrifices offered by these youth have given a clear message to India that it cannot rule the territory for long and its days are numbered. »

Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that Kashmir dispute can never be resolved through military might.

A DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the only democratic way to resolve the long-pending Kashmir dispute is to honour and respect the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said it is time for the world powers and forums to move beyond issuing statements and take practical step so that the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir is stopped and precious human lives are saved. »

Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has expressed serious concern over the directions issued by Indian police asking for details of mosques and their managements in the territory.

The HCBA in a statement in Srinagar termed the move as interference in the religious affairs of the Muslims.

It said the directive is discriminatory as it singles out the Muslim community and subjects it to an unfair treatment, which is contrary to the concept of freedom of religion. »

Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 11 Kashmiris including a minor girl and a woman during the last month of July.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, during the month, 80 people were critically injured due to the use of brute force and firing of pellets, bullets and teargas shells by Indian police and paramilitary personnel against peaceful protesters in the territory. At least 46 Hurriyat leaders, activists and youth were arrested. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference chief spokesman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, was also among the arrested people.

The troops damaged 2 residential houses during the period.

Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Anjuman Sharie Shian, a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, staged a sit-in protest at Lal Chowk in Srinagar to demand lifting of ban on the processions of 8th and 10th Muharram in the territory.

The protest was led by senior APHC leader and Anjuman Sharie Shian President, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi. »
