New Delhi, September 04 (KMS): Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force has confirmed that the deadly February 14th attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama was ‘a massive intelligence failure’, reported India Today.
The findings by CRPF are in sharp contrast to what the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had claimed that the Pulwama attack was not an intelligence failure, but was an outside work.
The CRPF inquiry report states that though there was a general alert regarding an IED [Improvised Explosive Device] threat, but there was no specific threat from a car-borne suicide bomber.
The report points out that no such input was shared by any of the intelligence agencies in Kashmir Valley where the forces were forewarned to take precautionary steps.
