India to raise two more battalions of BSF, CRPF for IOK » Kashmir Media Service

New Delhi, September 06 (KMS): The Indian Home Ministry, under the guise of creating job opportunities for the Kashmiri youth, has planned to raise two additional battalions, one each of the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for occupied Kashmir.

The roadmap to raise the battalions is being prepared just a month after abrogation of occupied Kashmir’s special status and splitting it into two Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, which will come into existence on October 31 this year.

It is to mention here that Kashmir was already among the most militarized zones in the world and now more armed personnel are deployed to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing indigenous liberation movement.
