Indian soldier drowns during CASO in Ganderbal » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier died after falling into a river during a cordon and search operation in Ganderbal district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Defadar Aslam Khan slipped and fell into the river during a search and cordon operation in Wusan area of the central Kashmir district.

He was rescued by his team and evacuated to nearest medical inspection room, but he succumbed to his injuries. The 39-year-old soldier had joined the Indian Army in 2000.

Defadar Aslam Khan hailed from Ranasar village of Churu district, Rajasthan, and is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
