Restoration of Article 370 demanded in Hyderabad seminar » Kashmir Media Service

Hyderabad (India), September 14 (KMS): Left-wing political parties of India held a seminar in Hyderabad, capital of Talangana State, over the scrapping of Article 370 by the Narendra Modi government that granted special status to occupied Kashmir.

Talangana State Secretary of Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M), Tammineni Veerabhadram, CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat, former member of Rajya Sabha, Aziz Pasha, the editor of daily Andhra Jyothy, Sriniwas and others addressed the seminar.

The speakers strongly criticized the Modi government for repealing Article 370 from Indian Constitution and demanded its restoration. They also appealed for collective struggle against the fascist ideologies of the Bharatiya Janata party.

The editor of daily Andhra Jyothy, Sriniwas, addressing the seminar said that situation in occupied Kashmir was deteriorating with each passing day as the people were continuously facing curfew and other restrictions.

He expressed anguish over the restrictions on the movement of Kashmiris in the occupied territory and added that showing solidarity with the people of Kashmir was need of the hour.

He said that the government was trying to hoodwink the people through false propaganda. He said that the BJP slogan of “One desh (country), one people, one party and one religion” was harming India.
