Indian troops torching shops in IOK to intimidate people » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, September 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops are torching markets during night time to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission and divert their attention from the ongoing freedom movement.

The troops in such mysterious incidents have set ablaze at least 15 shops in Beerwah area of Budgam district during last fifteen days. Locals said that the troops set on fire twelve shops near bus stand in Beerwah on the intervening night of 14th and 15th September. They said that before that the shops of Ghulam Muhammad Rangroot, Pervez Ahmed Waza and Mushtaq Ahmed Butt were burnt in the same market.

The locals said that the incidents of blaze have created a sense of fear among the people of the area. They said that since August 05, the shops and markets are being controlled by Indian troops. They said that with public movement strictly restricted, only troops were in the area and they were torching the shops.
