Lahore, September 17 (KMS): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the whole nation is united on the Kashmir issue.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated this while addressing All Parties Kashmir Conference organized by PTI Punjab in Lahore on Tuesday, Radio Pakistan reported.

The foreign minister said that the Indian government had taken illegal measures on August 05. He said that the unilateral measures of the Indian government had given a new turn to the Kashmir dispute.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the present government had presented the Kashmir dispute in the UN Security Council and after fifty-four years the issue was discussed in the world body. He said the lingering dispute should be resolved according to international law and now the international community is also demanding lifting of curfew in occupied Kashmir.

The foreign minister announced that he is also going to Saudi Arabia on the 19th of this month with Prime Minister, Imran Khan, where the Kashmir dispute would be highlighted. He said the OIC has also been activated to raise the dispute before the international community.

Addressing the conference, the Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said, “We are presenting the Kashmir case to international fora.”

He appealed the overseas Pakistanis to work on the Kashmir dispute whole heatedly and use their political network. The Governor said the situation in occupied Kashmir is really miserable and international observers are also not allowed to go there.
