Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), September 18 (KMS): An all-party conference of Pakistani political, social and literary organizations in Riyadh has urged the international community to pay attention to the atrocities and grave human rights violations committed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

The meeting, organized by Majlis-e-Pakistan, was convened to discuss the Kashmir dispute and show solidarity with the oppressed people of the occupied territory.

President of Majlis-e-Pakistan, Rana Abdul Rauf, said the purpose of the conference was to send a message to the government of Pakistan that all Pakistanis are one on the Kashmir cause. “It is now more than forty days of curfew and lockdown situation in Kashmir imposed by the Indian forces. We demand the world to pay attention to the human rights violations by the Indian forces and resolve the issue before it is too late,” he said.

Khalid Akram Rana mentioned the sensitivity of the Kashmir issue. “Regional stability is in extreme danger and a prolonged crisis in Kashmir will affect the entire world. International community, he said, should not stay silent as the two major nuclear powers are face to face on Kashmir issue. He said experts fear a nuclear war between India and Pakistan could eventually lead to the death of nearly a quarter of the world’s population.

Haji Ehsan Danish, a Kashmiri, praised Pakistan for its support. “We as Kashmiris are very satisfied that Pakistan is intelligently and successfully fighting the case of Kashmir and the Pakistani people are with us. Our heart beats with Pakistan and we belong to Pakistan. I believe that the day is not far when Kashmir will become part of Pakistan,” he said.

Muhammad Riaz Rathore said, “We want Kashmiris to be given their right to self-determination so that they can decide their fate on their own. Our duty is to highlight the human rights violations and the atrocities in Kashmir as much as possible and to expose India’s real face to the world,” he said.

Waqar Naseem Wamiq read out the message of the Pakistani Ambassador, Raja Ali Ejaz, who was visiting Jeddah to attend an OIC meeting. “Kashmir cause must be highlighted on every platform and it is a great gesture being shown by the Pakistani community,” the message stated.

Mohammad Asghar Qureshi said that all political parties of Pakistan must unite on the Kashmir cause.
