Srinagar, September 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement, Muhammad Shafi Lone, has said that India is hell bent upon suppressing the Kashmiris’ freedom movement through military might but is destined to fail in its nefarious designs.

Muhammad Shafi Lone in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri people would not be allowed to go waste and the ongoing freedom movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.

He said that killing innocent men and women, vandalizing properties, looting houses and shops, torturing people, putting residential houses to flames and clamping lockdown could not stop the Kashmiris from protesting the Indian onslaught. He said, these atrocities are being committed to suppress the Kashmiris’ voices but the oppressors are forgetting the historical fact that freedom movements of nations never get suppressed by these kinds of tyrannies. He said that the people of Kashmir would continue their protest against the undemocratic and inhuman acts

He also appreciated Pakistan for highlighting the miseries of the people of occupied Kashmir at the international level.

Meanwhile, the Vice-Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League, Zahid Ashraf, in a statement issued in Islamabad welcomed the decision of Pakistan to deny its airspace to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for traveling to the US. He said, on one side, Modi is muzzling the voice of Kashmiris through state terrorism, and on the other, asking for Pakistani airspace for travel to US.
