Mazari calls for humanitarian corridor to supply aid to Kashmiris » Kashmir Media Service

Islamabad, Sept 19 (KMS): Federal Minister for Human Right Dr Shireen Mazari has written a letter to UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs/Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock asking for establishment of an immediate ‘Humanitarian Corridor’ to supply humanitarian aid to Kashmiris under siege in the Indian occupied Kashmir now in second month by the Indian forces.
In the letter, the federal minister said that deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir requires urgent attention as siege imposed by the India continues into second month resulting in a grave crisis. The crippling curfew and communication blackout have left the Kashmiri population cut off from food, medicine and other basic necessities. The situation presents a serious threat to the lives of the Kashmiri people, particularly vulnerable groups such as elderly, women and children, she added.
