Anti-India demonstration held in Islamabad » Kashmir Media Service

Islamabad, October 15 (KMS): Muhammad Ismail, a social activist from Jhang area of Pakistan, is on a tour of the country to create awareness about the situation of occupied Kashmir and to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter organized a reception in the honor of Muhammad Ismail, today, at Islamabad Press Club. Members of APHC-AJK, press club and civil society participated in the event.

A demonstration was also held outside the Press Club to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir who are under siege since August 5.

Speakers on the occasion reiterated to continue the support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their right to self-determination. They appealed to the United Nations to intervene and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per its resolutions and in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. They urged India to shun its military violence, withdraw its troops from occupied Kashmir and take steps towards settling the lingering dispute for ensuring permanent peace in South Asia.

The speakers said that Kashmiris are not alone in their just struggle and the people and government of Pakistan were with them. They also saluted the resolve, determination and sacrifices of the people of occupied Kashmir.
