Srinagar, October 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Association (KTMF) leader Yasin Khan’s mother breathed her last today. She was 70 plus and was not keeping good health for some time.

She was laid to rest at their ancestral graveyard after the funeral prayers were offered at Nishat, Srinagar. The funeral was attended by the family, relatives and hundreds of traders.

Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry sought Khan’s release on humanitarian grounds. “His mother was looking for him but died without seeing him one last time,” Sheikh Ashiq, the Chamber president told Kashmir Life. “Now, we are seeking Khan’s release on humanitarian grounds.”

“Khan could not be part of his mother’s funeral prayers and could not shoulder her coffin,” Ashiq said.

Yasin Khan is one of the many trade leaders who are in custody since August 5. He is reportedly in the Agra jail.
