Anti-India demo held outside Indian HC in Islamabad

Washington, October 25 (KMS): The US has asked India to come up with a roadmap for the restoration of normalcy in occupied Kashmir.

Acting Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Alice G Wells, talking to reporters in Washington that America remained deeply concerned about the situation in the Kashmir Valley where the lives of 8 million people had been severely affected due to restrictions.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders and civil society members organized a forceful demonstration outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today, against the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. The participants of the demonstration urged the UN to take cognizance of the gross human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in the occupied territory. »

People hold forceful anti-India protest demonstrations

Srinagar, October 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has called for complete shutdown on Sunday to mark the 27th October as black day to send a loud and clear message to India that they reject its illegal occupation of their homeland.

On 27th October in 1947 Indian troops had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the essence of Partition Plan of the subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations. »

Srinagar, October 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Resistance Youth League has issued a protest calendar for upcoming week, appealing the people to follow the programme in letter and spirit.

The Resistance Youth League in the posters circulated in occupied Kashmir appealed to the people to hold a march towards Hazrabal, tomorrow (Saturday).

Similarly, the Resistance Youth League has asked the people of occupied Kashmir to observe Black Day on Sunday, the 27th October. Srinagar, October 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities did not allow people to offer Juma prayers at historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar and other main mosques and shrines of the territory on the 12th consecutive week, today.

The authorities have not allowed Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid and other main mosques of the territory since August 05 when Narendra Modi-led Indian government repealed special status of occupied Kashmir and put the territory under lockdown. »

Washington, October 25 (KMS): The US has asked India to come up with a roadmap for the restoration of political and economic normalcy in occupied Kashmir following the imposition of restrictions after India revoked special status of the territory.

Acting Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Alice G Wells, talking to reporters at the US State Department said, “We continue to press for the release of detainees for the full restoration of everyday services, but most importantly, for a roadmap for the restoration of political and economic normalcy.” »

Calls for complete shutdown on Sunday

Srinagar, October 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has called for complete shutdown on Sunday to mark the 27th October as Black Day.

On 27th October in 1947 India had landed its troops in Srinagar and illegally occupied the territory of Jammu and Kashmir in total violation of the Partition Plan of the subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The APHC Chairman termed October 27, 1947 as the day of mourning for the Kashmiris and the darkest day in the territory’s history. He reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue struggle for right to self-determination despite all odds. »

New York, October 25 (KMS): The United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, continues to call for the Kashmir dispute to be resolved through dialogue, saying any solution should be rooted in the respect for human rights of the people living in the Valley, his spokesperson has said.

The spokesman, Stéphane Dujarric at the daily press briefing in New York said, Antonio Guterres would engage whenever he can with Pakistan and India on the issue. »

Islamabad, October 25 (KMS): Hurriyat leaders and civil society members organized a forceful demonstration outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today, against the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

The participants of the demonstration urged the UN to take cognizance of the gross human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in the occupied territory. They also appealed to the world human rights organizations to put pressure on India to stop its state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

Earlier, the participants held an anti-India walk from Serena Chowk to the Indian High Commission, raising high-pitched slogans against India and in favour of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian occupation. »

New Delhi, October 25 (KMS): The Indian Supreme Court has sought answers from the government on the timelines for lifting all restrictions in occupied Kashmir.

The occupied territory was put under lockdown on 5th August when the Modi government scrapped the special status of occupied Kashmir. All mobile, landline and internet services were snapped. Schools, colleges and offices were shut and curbs were put on movement on roads. »

Srinagar, October 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unidentified gunmen killed two non-local truck drivers and injured another in Shopian district.

The trucks were passing through Chitragam area of the district when they were fired upon indiscriminately by unidentified gunmen, leaving those on board injured. Two among them succumbed to injuries at the spot while another was shifted to the Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital in a critical condition. One of the killed drivers was identified as Muhammad Iliyas, a resident of Alwar in Indian state of Rajasthan, while injured person as Jeevan from Hoshiarpur in Indian Punjab. After the attack, the gunmen set ablaze the fruit-laden trucks, the officials added. »
