Islamabad, October 29 (KMS): A Turkish lawmaker has suggested a Muslim mechanism for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute between Pakistan and India.

Addressing an event in the Turkish capital Ankara to mark “Kashmir Black Day”, ruling Justice and Development Party lawmaker Ali Sahin said that people in Turkey are well aware of what Kashmiris are going through.

Shiraz University of medical sciences, Iran, hosted a peaceful protest and candle match for Kashmir and held a two minutes silence to condemn the tyranny people of Kashmir are going through in occupied Kashmir.

The leaders of Hurriyat AJK, Syed Abdullah Gilani, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi and Muhammad Rafiq Dar, addressing a hurriedly-convened press conference in Islamabad, today, termed India’s action of facilitating the visit of a delegation of European lawmakers as a conspiracy to hoodwink the world into believing that situation was normal in occupied Kashmir. They called upon the visiting EU Parliament delegation to hold meetings with detained Hurriyat leaders, civil society members and representatives of lawyers, trade bodies and labor federations in a free atmosphere without government facilitators.

UK-based Bangladeshi community held a conference on Kashmir at the British Parliament in London to highlight the Kashmir dispute. A large number of British MPs attended the event. Public Accounts Committee Chairman of AJK Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rashid Turabi participated in the function as chief guest while MP Graham Jones chaired the event. The participants asked the British government and the United Nations to play their role in settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
