IOK people facing tense situation for last over three months

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has said that the Kashmiri people must remain aware that no politicians in the territory should dare to come forward to cooperate with India to further its nefarious designs.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the people should not tolerate any traitor and collaborator of Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. It said that Narendra Modi and his communal government who have snatched the identity of Kashmiris should not be allowed to succeed in finding their cooperators in occupied Kashmir. Tehreek-e-Hurriyat said that the Kashmiri people had rendered unparalleled sacrifices for securing their inalienable right to self-determination. It said that no one would be allowed to undermine these sacrifices.

Meanwhile, people of the Kashmir Valley and Muslim-majority areas of Jammu continued to suffer immensely due to military siege on 97th consecutive day, today. The occupation authorities intensified restrictions and ordered closure of schools and colleges, today, ahead of the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid case in Ayodhya. »

Jammu, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops arrested the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Seerat Committee, Kishtwar, Maulana Abdul Qayoom, today.

The troops arrested Maulana Qayoom along with his associate, Naseer Ahmed Baghwan, from Kishtwar town, early morning. The troops also arrested another person identified as Shabbir Hussain in the town.

New Delhi, November 09 (KMS): Showing its communal Hindu face once again, the Supreme Court of India has awarded the land of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya to Hindus for the construction of a temple.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi in its verdict in Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid case, said the site of Babri Masjid will be given to a government-run trust for the building of a temple. However, the bench also comprising Justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer ruled that Muslims must get alternate land within the city for the construction of a mosque. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people of the Kashmir Valley and Muslim-majority areas of Jammu continue to suffer immensely due to military siege on 97th consecutive day, today.

The occupation authorities intensified restrictions and ordered closure of schools and colleges, today, ahead of the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ayodhya (Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid) case. The authorities deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength in every nook and corner of the territory and ordered closure of schools and colleges to prevent demonstrations against the handing over of the Babri Masjid land to Hindus for construction of a temple. The residents are already suffering immensely due to suspension of internet and prepaid mobile services. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Member of Indian Parliament and leader of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Hasnain Masoodi, has said that the Indian government is underestimating and downplaying the silent protest in the territory.

Hasnain Masoodi in a media interview in Srinagar said, he finds it amusing when the Indian government points out that there have not been too many deaths in the Valley and not much violence. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people have been facing tense situation for the last over three months after the Modi government imposed military siege and communications blockade on August 5 in Kashmir when it scrapped its special status, says a report by Voice of America.

The Chairperson of Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies (KCSDS), Professor Hameeda Nayeem, told VoA that shops opened only for a few hours early in the morning because of the atmosphere of fear, with people mainly staying indoors.

“Drones are flying above our homes, the army is deployed at every corner, and they have already arrested thousands of young men to prevent them from holding protest demonstrations,” she said. »

Srinagar, November 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement, Muhammad Shafi Lone, has paid glowing tributes to Poet of East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, on his birth anniversary.

Muhammad Shafi Lone in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Allama Iqbal had fully supported the people of Kashmir in their struggle against the Dogra regime and encouraged them through his poetry. He said that Jammu and Kashmir was a part of the motherland of Muslims for which Allama Iqbal had dreamt. »

Islamabad, Nov 09 (KMS):President Azad Jammu Kashmir(AJK) Sardar Masood Khan has categorically said that India’s moves on August 5th was illegal and a clear violation of international laws.He said that no country can alter the internal boundaries of an occupied territory nor can they transfer its population adding that this is a clear violation of Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The President made these remarks while addressing a seminar titled ‘Kashmir under occupation: International Law Perspectives’, organised by the Research Society of International Law (RSIL) in the federal capital.The ceremony was also addressed by Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari, Ahmer Bilal Soofi, President of RSIL. Addressing the ceremony the President continued that on August 5 India had reoccupied IOK and is now transforming the territory into a colony. »
