Rawalpindi, January 05 (KMS): The President of Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights, Dr Nazir Gilani, has said that the sacrifices of the people of Jammu for the Kashmir cause cannot be forgotten.

Dr Nazir Gilani speaking to a representative delegation of Jammu, based in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, who met him at his residence in Rawalpindi, said that Kashmir was incomplete without Jammu. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights was not an organization of any particular region but it represented the entire Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr Nazir Gilani on the occasion, assuring full support to the delegation, said, “We desperately need to learn from the mistakes of the past”, adding that there was an urgent need of unity to secure right to self-determination.

He appreciated the proposal of the delegation to work together to eliminate regionalism and said, “Our only demand should be right to self-determination
The delegation also briefed Dr Nazir Gilani about the work in Jammu, which he appreciated and ensured his full cooperation.

The delegation included Hurriyat leader, Mohammad Hussain Khateeb, Convener of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Seerat Committee, Khawaja Naeem-ul-Hassan, Convener of Pir Panjal Peace Foundation, Advocate Mahmood Akhtar Qureshi, Convener of Pir Panjal Civil Society, Mushtaq Zargar and media in-charge, Ali Hasanin Naqvi.
