Srinagar, Jan 06 (KMS): Former General Secretary of the High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen has said that the settlement of the Kashmir dispute is imperative for peace and economic prosperity in the South Asian region.

Ghulam Nabi Shaheen in a media interview in Srinagar demanded the release of High Court Bar Association President Mian Abdul Qayyum, General Secretary Mohammad Ashraf Butt, Advocate Nazir Ahmed Ronga, Advocate Hilal Akbar Lone, Advocate Abdul Salam Rathar and all detainees including Hurriyat leaders, political activists and youth.

He said that the atmosphere of terror and harassment should end in occupied Kashmir so that an environment conducive for Kashmir’s political settlement could be created. He said that a positive and constructive dialogue between Pakistan and India could create a favorable atmosphere for sustainable resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
