Ailing Mian Qayoom shifted to Tihar jail

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have thanked the government and the people of Pakistan for extending full political, diplomatic and moral support to the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir.

In connection with the announcement by Pakistan to observe February 5 as Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a message in Srinagar, today, said that the people of Kashmir want to see a politically stable and economically strong Pakistan. »

New Delhi, February 03 (KMS): Amid the ongoing incidents of firing and attacks on the protesters of controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, the latest one took place at Gate No. 5 of Jamia Millia Islamia when some goons associated with extremist Hindu organizations opened fire during last night, the Jamia Coordination Committee (JCC) informed.

The committee, a group comprising students and alumni of the university formed to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, in a statement, said the attackers were on a motorbike. “One of the miscreants was wearing a red jacket,” the statement added.

Interestingly, in the name of verifying the JCC’s claim, the police as usual do not seem serious to act against the attackers. »

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has thanked the government and people of Pakistan for observing February 5 as Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in his message, said that Pakistan had been striving to settle the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the will of the Kashmiri people. »

Lahore, February 03 (KMS): The global powers must take notice of the Indian forces’ brutalities as they are brutalizing unarmed innocent Kashmiris to deprive them of their right to self-determination.

This was stated by Mushaal Mulick, wife of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, while addressing a ceremony in connection with Kashmir Day organized by Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Department, Punjab, Aiwan-e-Iqbal and Unique Group of Institutions at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, The Mall, Lahore. »

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir People’s League Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in a statement from jail thanked the Government of Pakistan and its people for observing solidarity with the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir on February 5.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza said the gesture by Pakistani government and its people helps strengthen the Kashmiris’ spirit for freedom.

Waza said Kashmir has become a nuclear flash point, and the world is not ready to admit India’s viewpoint on the dispute. He said being an important party to the Kashmir dispute Pakistan is fighting the case of the Kashmiri people at all international forums. He asked Islamabad to double its efforts on the diplomatic front to expose India’s ugly face before the world. »

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): The ailing President of High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir, Mian Abdul Qayoom has been shifted to Tihar jail, New Delhi, his family members said.

Instead of shifting Mian Qayoom, who is suffering from life threatening ailments, to hospital, the authorities sent him to the notorious Indian jail.

The High Court Bar Association at an emergency meeting in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the inhuman treatment to its president. It said the health condition of Mian Qayoom is deteriorating with each passing day. It urged the authorities to revoke the illegal and unconstitutional his detention order immediately. »

Islamabad, February 03 (KMS): Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed Sunday said Prime Minister Imran Khan is presenting the Kashmir issue at international forums as an ambassador of Kashmiris.

“We are exposing horrible face of India to the world. Kashmir is a national cause and the whole Pakistani nation will observe upcoming Kashmir Day in its true sense to express absolute solidarity with the Kashmiris.

He was talking to media personnel at Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway (IMDC) here.

On this occasion, National Highway Authority (NHA) also arranged Solidarity with Kashmir Art Competition in collaboration with Street Art Pakistan in which a large number of students from the universities of the twin cities and that of Lahore and National College of Arts participated. »

Birmingham, February 03 (KMS): The member of Conservative Party in the UK parliament has pledged to raise the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir inside as well as outside the parliament.

The British parliamentarian, Marco Longhi, addressing a conference on Kashmir in Birmingham expressed concern over the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. The conference was organized by Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, under Kashmir Solidarity Week in Dudley Council. He said that Kashmiris should be given their political rights. »

Islamabad 03 Feb (KMS): A proposal for preparation of a Concept Paper in the context of Jammu’s role in Kashmir’s freedom struggle came up at a special meeting of Jammu-based Hurriyat organizations in Islamabad.

The meeting was presided over by APHC-AJK General Secretary Mohammad Hussain Khateeb and was attended among others by former Federal Secretary Establishment Division, Syed Yasin Ahmed as a special guest. »
