Says Islamabad’s support a source of inspiration for Kashmiris

Srinagar, February 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has expressed gratitude to the people and the government of Pakistan for observing the 5th February every year as Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Syed All Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said this year the day has attained special importance as it is being observed in the backdrop of India’s August 5, 2019, illegal move of stripping occupied Jammu and Kashmir of its special status in contravention of international norms and the United Nations resolutions. »

Islamabad, February 04 (KMS): Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed on Wednesday to express wholehearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions.

It will be a public holiday and preparations are in full swing to observe the Day to highlight the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people and remind the world community of its obligations towards the resolution of the longstanding dispute.

This time the day is being observed after India revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir in August last year to breach of all international laws, and since then the entire population of the held territory has been under lockdown. »

Srinagar, February 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, has thanked the people of Pakistan for their continued support to the Kashmir cause.

Professor Abdul Ghani Butt in a statement issued in Srinagar said on February 5, every year, Pakistan expresses solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir which is an open evidence of Pakistanis’ love and affection with the people of the occupied territory and this day marks the commemoration of the sacrifices that the Kashmiri people have rendered in their freedom struggle. »

Islamabad, February 04 (KMS): The Senate unanimously passed a resolution to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir on Tuesday.

Leader of the House Shibli Faraz moved the resolution.

The resolution paid rich tribute to the heroism and valor of the people of occupied Kashmir on the eve of Kashmir solidarity day.

It said Kashmiri’s preservance, steadfastness and determination to seek freedom from the Indian colonial yoke is marked in letters of gold in the annals of freedom struggle. »

Srinagar, February 4 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, J&K Students and Youth Forum held protest demonstrations at various places including Srinagar and Sopore, today, decrying the Indian military repression and the continued information blockade in the territory.

Activists of the party chanted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans and put posters out in many places calling for upping the resistance against the illegal Indian rule. The protesters expressed their anger over the unbridled human rights violations committed by the occupational forces in Kashmir. »

New York, February 4 (KMS): An event in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day was organized by the All Pakistani American Council in New York to highlight the Kashmir issue at the international level.

Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General, World Kashmir Awareness Forum speaking at the event said, “The unflinching resistance by the people of Kashmir is a living proof that they are not going to compromise, far less abandon, their demand for Azadi (freedom) which is their birthright and for which they have paid a price in blood and suffering which has not been exacted from any other people of the South Asian subcontinent.”

He said, “The participation of Pakistani American community in highlighting the issue of Kashmir at the international level couldn’t be forgotten by the people of Kashmir. And they deserve the gratitude and appreciation of the people of Kashmir, who are literally under siege since August 5, 2019.” »

Srinagar, February 4 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian army vehicle hit and critically injured five persons, including a woman and a teenage girl in Islamabad district, today.

An over-speeding Indian army vehicle deliberately hit a car in Wangund Qazigundarea of the district.

A police officer while confirming the incident said that all Injured were shifted to Emergency Hospital Qazigund (EHQ) and one critically injured was shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar.

A video of the South African guy took Twitter and other social media website by storm immediately after he raised the slogan during the semi-final between arch-rivals Pakistan and India at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, today. »

Srinagar, February 4 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has reserved its decision on a petition challenging the illegal detention of High Court Bar Association President, Mian Abdul Qayoom.

Mian Abdul Qayoom was booked under the black law, Public Safety Act (PSA) on August 7, 2019 on the orders of District Magistrate, Srinagar and shifted to Agra Jail, where he suffered a heart attack on Jan 29. Now he has been shifted to New Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail. Mian Qayoom was arrested from his residence in Srinagar on the intervening night of August 4 and 5, last year, ahead of the India’s decision to abrogate the special status of occupied Kashmir. »

Islamabad, February 04 (KMS): The National Assembly Speaker, Asad Qaiser, has said that parliamentary diplomacy would be pursued to highlight the Kashmir dispute till its resolution in accordance with the aspiration of the Kashmir people.

He stated this during a meeting with President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan, in Islamabad.
Asad Qaiser said that the repression and tyranny of Indian government on innocent peoples in occupied Kashmir had put the peace of the world and the region at stake. »
