Kashmir Press Club condemns police action

Srinagar, March 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police harassed two Kashmiri journalists, stopped them from carrying out their professional duties and snatched their cameras and mobile phones.

The two video journalists, Qayoom Khan and Qisar Mir, who were working for CNN-News 18 and TV9 Bharatvarsh were stopped by Indian police on March 4 in Pulwama. Their camera and two mobile phones were also taken away by the police. »

Tehran, March 05 (KMS): Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged India on Thursday to confront extremist Hindus and stop the massacre of Muslims, saying the hearts of Muslims all over the world are grieving over the massacre of Muslims in India.

Srinagar, March 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui has said that the way the Indian NIA had been arresting people, is the worst example of New Delhi’s colonial mindset.

Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the activities and operations of the NIA in length and breadth of occupied Kashmir as a well-orchestrated strategy to harass and intimidate the freedom-loving people of occupied Kashmir. He said that India should remind that no colonial power had been able to crush the sentiments and wishes of people. New Delhi despite all its colonial means and methods will not be able to crush the freedom struggle of brave people of Kashmir, he added. »

Islamabad, March 05 (KMS): An anti-India protest demonstration was held in front of the National Press Club, Islamabad, today.

The protest was organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani led the demonstration.

The Hurriyat leaders on the occasion condemned the illegal and unjustified arrest of 50-year-old, Tariq Ahmad and his daughter, Insha Tariq by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) and continued arrest and house detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists. »

Mirpur, March 05 (KMS): The General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK), Muhammad Hussain Khateeb along with media in charge, Ali Hassan Naqvi visited Mirpur and met the representatives of Kashmiri refugees.

Muhammad Hussain Khateeb also chaired a meeting of the refugees of occupied Kashmir in Mirpur in which the current situation of the territory and the role of Jammu region was discussed. »

Arrest of father, daughter strongly flayed

Srinagar, March 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have martyred 74 Kashmiris including 3 women and 4 young boys during the ongoing 7-month long siege and internet shutdown in the territory.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the completion of seven months of unrelenting military lockdown, today, 7 of the martyred youth were killed in fake encounters or in custody. The report said that 943 people were critically injured in the firing by Indian troops on peaceful protesters. It said that thousands of Hurriyat leaders, activists, politicians and civil society members including APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continue to remain under house arrest or in jails since India revoked Kashmir’s special status on 5th August, last year. »

Arrest of civilian, his daughter in IOK strongly condemned

Islamabad, March 05 (KMS): Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF), Altaf Hussain Wani, has hailed the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s Special Envoy for Jammu and Kashmir, Ambassador Yousef M. Al Dobeay, for reiterating and reaffirming the OIC’s commitment and continued support towards the resolution of the disputes of Kashmir and Palestine.

The OIC envoy, who is heading a six-member delegation, addressing a press conference in Islamabad said that the OIC had always strongly supported the settlement of the Kashmir and Palestine disputes.

Altaf Hussain Wani in a statement issued in Islamabad said, “There is no doubt that the OIC has always expressed concern over the situation in the region but in the prevailing situation it is imperative that the august body should take some bold steps to mitigate the unending sufferings of the Kashmiri people. »

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, on the completion of seven months of unrelenting military lockdown, today, of those martyred 7 youth were killed in fake encounters or custody. India had revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir on 5th August, last year, and put the territory under military siege. »

Srinagar, March 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Zamruda Habib, has strongly denounced the arrest of a woman and her father by Indian forces in Pulwama district.

The woman, Insha Tariq, and her father Tariq Ahmad, were arrested by Indian troops and the sleuths of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) during a house raid at Hakripora area of the district on Tuesday. »

Chakhoti, March 05 (KMS): A six-member OIC delegation headed by Ambassador Yousef Aldobeay, Special Envoy of the OIC Secretary General for Jammu and Kashmir, visited Chakhoti, Line of Control (LoC).
The delegation was briefed on the situation along the LoC, Indian ceasefire violations (CFVs) targeting innocent civilian population along the LoC.

Ambassador Yousef Aldobeay said, “During our two day visit to Pakistan wemet PM, minister of foreign affairs and some senior govt officials. Now we are at Line of Control where military officials apprised us on the situation on the border. We had a detailed information on the situation. Which we are taking notes of it,” he added. »
