Tehran, March 05 (KMS): Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged India on Thursday to confront extremist Hindus and stop the massacre of Muslims, saying the hearts of Muslims all over the world are grieving over the massacre of Muslims in India.

Khamenei in a tweet in English, said, “The hearts of Muslims all over the world are grieving over the massacre of Muslims in India.”

“The Government of India should confront extremist Hindus and their parties and stop the massacre of Muslims in order to prevent India’s isolation from the world of Islam,” he tweeted just days after New Delhi summoned Iranian ambassador and lodged a protest against Iran’s foreign minister for commenting on the same issue.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Monday saying, “Iran condemns the wave of organized violence against Indian Muslims.”

At least 49 people were killed and hundreds injured in the worst anti-Muslim communal riots in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
