People asked to get tough with RSS collaborators

Islamabad, March 08 (KMS): Miseries and sufferings of the Kashmiri women at the hands of brutal Indian forces continue unabated in occupied Kashmir as the world is observing the International Women’s Day, today.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, thousands of women are among 95,507 Kashmiris, who were martyred by Indian forces since January 1989 till date while 671 women were killed since January 2001 alone. The report pointed out 22,912 women were rendered widowed while 11,179 were molested. It also mentioned Kunan-poshpora mass rape, rape and murder of two Shopian women and gang-rape and murder of an eight-year girl, Aasifa Bano in Kathua, as glimpses of some heinous crimes of India against women in Kashmir.

The report said over hundred women including 19-month-old Heeba Jan and 32-year-old Nusrat Jan were blinded in firing of pellets by Indian troops. It said that around a dozen women including Hurriyat leaders, Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi and Naheeda Nasreen were facing illegal detention in infamous Tihar Jail in India. »

Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have said that the women across the world are observing International Women Day but the oppressed women of Kashmir have nothing to commemorate.

The Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e- Khawateen Zamruda Habib in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the world is talking about the empowerment of women and the women in the territory are facing the humiliation every day. “Our dear ones are killed every now and then. Innocent young boys are lodged in different jails without committing any serious crime and their mothers are waiting for their early release,” she added. »

Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, through a number of posters appearing in different areas of the Kashmir Valley and Jammu, people have been asked to come down heavily on local collaborators of India’s Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and other Hindu extremist organizations, involved in massacre of Muslims in the territory.

The posters on behalf of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Movement have been pasted on all important places including electricity poles and walls in Srinagar, Doda and other parts of the occupied territory. The posters reminded the Kashmiri people of the tens of thousands of sacrifices rendered by the locals for the freedom cause and urged them not to spare these stooges of the killers of Muslims in Kashmir and India. »

Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched a cordon and Search operation (CASO) at Wani Mohalla, Khudwani in Kulgam district. Besides, the troops arrested two youth during a raid on a house in Srinagar.

Heavy contingents of Indian troops were deployed and door-to-door search operation was conducted in Khudwani area of Kulgam district. The troops ransacked household goods and subjected the inmates to harassment. »

Islamabad, March 08 (KMS): Speakers at a seminar in Islamabad, today, paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri women braving Indian brutalities for the past more than three decades.

The seminar was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Political Party and the Right to Self Determination Movement International on the occasion of International Women’s Day, today. The speakers on the occasion said that Indian forces were using Kashmiri women as weapon of war in occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Anjuman-e-Nusratul Islam has paid glowing tributes to the founder of the institute, Mirwaiz Allama Ghulam Rasool Shah on his 111th death anniversary.

Anjuman-e-Nusratul Islam in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the contributions of Mirwaiz Allama Rasool Shah on social, religious, political and educational fronts continue to be the torchbearer for the present generation and the same would be written with golden words in the educational history of Kashmir. »

New Delhi, March 08 (KMS): A huge controversy has broken out in Indian state of Madhya Pradesh after a question in a Class 10 state board examination referred to AJK as Azad Kashmir, twice, in contravention to the Indian government’s false claim on the territory.

In the Social Science examination, question number four asked the students to match six pairs of sub-questions with six sub-answers. The words “Azad Kashmir” formed one of the sub-answers/sub-options. The second time, the question paper asked the students to plot “Azad Kashmir” on the map. »

Islamabad, March 08 (KMS): Hurriyat leaders and organizations on the occasion of International Women’s Day have expressed concern over the plight of women of occupied Kashmir.

Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Abdul Majeed Mir in a statement issued in Islamabad that Kashmiri women had been facing Indian oppression for the last several decades. Kashmiri women have an important role in the struggle for liberation and are sacrificing their lives for the Kashmir cause. »

Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem Azadi has expressed concern over the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists and demanded their immediate release.

The spokesman of Islami Tanzeem Azadi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that prolonging the illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists by the authorities had become a routine. »
