Geneva, March 09 (KMS): Kashmiri representative, Shamim Shawl has said that the world observed the International Women’s Day on March 8 but the miseries and victimization of the Kashmiri women at the hands of Indian forces continue unabated in occupied Kashmir.

Shamim Shawl addressing during the ongoing 43rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva said that 10,507 Kashmiri women had been martyred by Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel since January 1989 till date. At least 671 women have been killed by Indian troops since January 2001 till date, she added. »

Srinagar, March 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, today.

The youth, identified as Shabbir Ahmad Malik and Amir Ahmad Dar, were killed by Indian troops during a violent siege and search operation in Khawjapora Reban area of the district. The operation was jointly launched by Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force and police.

As the news about the killing of the youth spread in the area, people defied restrictions and came out of their houses to protest against the Indian brutalities.They raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Several people were injured when the troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the protesters. The troops arrested three youth during house raids in Awantipora area of Pulwama district. »

Bhopal, March 09 (KMS): The teachers’ association in Madhya Pradesh, India, has claimed that the term ‘Azad Kashmir’, which appeared in a question paper, was taken from the textbook.

The term appeared in the Social Science question paper of Class 10 at the examination held on Saturday. Two teachers were suspended by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) after the incident was reported. The teachers who faced the axe were Nitin Singh Jat, who had set the paper, and question paper moderator Rajneesh Jain, a lecturer. »

Srinagar, March 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two labourers were killed and as many were injured in a blast, which took place inside an Indian army camp in Islamabad district, today.

Two labourers Gulzar Ahmad Khan and Fayaz Ahmad Butt were killed and three others were injured in a blast inside the Indian army camp at Khundroo in Achabal area of the district.

The injured labourers were admitted to a nearby hospital. »

Srinagar 09 March (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front while hailing the commitment of the Kashmiri women towards the freedom cause has said that an empowered and a righteous woman is the guarantor to a peaceful and prosperous Kashmir, which is free from subjugation of India.

A JKLF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, Kashmiri women are the worst victims of Indian military aggression and state terrorism as thousands are waiting for their sons, husbands, fathers and brothers, who were arrested in front of their eyes from their houses by Indian troops and then were subjected to enforced disappearance in custody. »

Mirpur , Mar 09 (KMS):Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that the resolution of the longstanding Kashmir issue lies only in holding of the plebiscite under UN resolutions

Addressing to an oath taking ceremony of District Bar Association Rawalakot on Saturday, he said India has violated international laws and agreements by annexing Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The Prime Minister said changing demography of the Occupied Kashmir is contrary to the United Nations resolutions on Kashmir. »

Srinagar, March 09 (KMS): The launch of a so-called new political party in the name of ‘Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party’ by one Altaf Bukhari, a puppet of Hindu extremist organizations in India, has been described as ‘an offshoot of Bharatiya Janata Party’ by even pro-India leaders and political parties in occupied Kashmir.

The National Conference said it is pretty clear that India is contriving to prop up yet another formation in Kashmir to “serve its interests at the cost of democracy”. In a statement in Srinagar, NC Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar said the emergence of the new political formation is a “handiwork of those who want to blunt the true representative voices of Jammu and Kashmir”. The move is aimed to ditch genuine political aspirations of the people of Kashmir, he added. »
