Issues advisory, asks Imams others in IOK to follow guidelines

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema, a conglomerate of religious bodies, headed by incarcerated Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has expressed deep concern over the spread of coronavirus that has killed over 7500 people and infected nearly two hundred thousand across the world.
In a joint statement issued in Srinagar, the MMU said that it prayed not only for the Muslim across the world but the whole humanity which is combating the viral disease.

“MMU prayed to Almighty Allah to keep humanity safe from the deadly outbreak, and its spread,” the statement said, adding, “We pray for an atmosphere of peace and health across the world”. »

IOK HCBA concerned about health of Kashmiri detainees

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has deplored that India is applying brutal tactics like killings, intimidation, harassment, arbitrary arrests, fake encounters and draconian laws to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to Rizwan Ahmed Pandit, principal of a school, on his martyrdom anniversary. Rizwan Pandit was arrested by Indian police from his home in Awantipora area of Pulwama district and was tortured to death during the intervening night of 18th and 19th March, last year. Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said that the custodial killings in occupied Kashmir were order of the day and hundreds, rather thousands, had perished in the interrogation centres run by the brutal Indian armed forces. He appealed to world community to force New Delhi to understand that violence is not and cannot be the answer to political demands for justice and rights. »

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, speakers at a women’s congregation in Handwara have deplored that India is using molestation of women as a weapon of war in territory to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission.

Addressing the congregation held by Self-determination Forum Jammu and Kashmir, the speakers said that despite using all brutal methods, New Delhi had so far miserably failed to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement. »

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, has welcomed the joint statement issued by Pakistan and Chinese leadership in Beijing.

In the joint statement issued by Chinese Foreign Ministry at the conclusion of the two-day visit of Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi, China reiterated that the Kashmir issue was a dispute left from history that should be properly and peacefully resolved on the basis of the UN Security Council resolutions. »

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association has expressed serious concern about the health of illegally detained Kashmiris in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak that has gripped the entire world.

The Executive Committee members of HCBA in a meeting in Srinagar said the number of people affected with the coronavirus across the world is increasing with each passing day which has caused serious apprehensions regarding the health of the Kashmiris, who were arrested after August 5, 2019, and also prior to that and are lodged in different jails of the occupied territory and India. »

Islamabad, March 18 (KMS): The Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, has said that India is pursuing the nefarious policy of suppress the Kashmiris’ just liberation struggle through use of brute force.

Syed Aijaz Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad strongly denounced the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

He paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri youth who were recently martyred by Indian troops in Islamabad and Baramulla districts. He said that the Kashmiri youth were rendering their lives for a sacred cause and their sacrifices would not go waste. He said that India would never succeed to subdue the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment through its military might. »

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier, his wife and child have been tested positive for coronavirus in Ladakh.

Medical Superintendent of Sonam Norboo Memorial (SNM) Hospital, Dr Tsering Samphel, confirmed to media that soldier along with his wife and child have also tested positive.

The family hails from Chuchot village in Leh district of Ladakh. »

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have extended the ban on high-speed 3G and 4G Internet services till March 26.

The home department of the occupied territory extended the ban on 3G and 4G internet services through an order issued in Srinagar.

The order by Principal Secretary to the administration, Shaleen Kabra, reads that the restrictions contained under the order dated 04-03-2020 shall continue till 26 March 2020. »

Srinagar, March 18 (KMS): The authorities in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir banned foreign tourists from entering the occupied territory as a precautionary measure in view of the coronavirus outbreak.
Advisor to the Lt. Governor Baseer Ahmad Khan has issued necessary orders in this regard. Secretary Tourism, Director Tourism and DCs have been asked to ensure implementation of the order with immediate effect.
