Srinagar, May 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at least four personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed and seven injured after a patrolling party of the paramilitary force was attacked in Wangam Qaziabad area of Handwara today.

The incident triggered a fierce gun-battle in the area.

In retaliatory action the Indian troops martyred a 14-year-old boy.

As per reports the army personnel have gone berserk beating every passer-by and ransacking the houses.

Islamabad, May 04 (KMS): The Convener of AJK chapter of Mirwaiz led Hurriyat forum, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi along with senior members Syed Ajaz Rehmani, Zahid Safi and Mian Muzaffar Ahmed presented a memorandum to the UN office in Islamabad on unprovoked Indian firing along the Line of Control and alarming human rights situation in occupied Kashmir.

The memorandum sought immediate attention ofthe UN Secretary General, António Guterres saying that while the world was facing Coronavirus pandemic, Indian forces under the garb of coronavirus were arbitrarily arresting people and shifting them to unknown locations in occupied Kashmir .

“People are killed in fake encounters, as India has unleashed genocide of the Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir under the guise of Coronavirus,” the memorandum said and sought immediate attention of the United Nations to stop bloodshed in the territory. »

Srinagar, May 4 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party while reiterating its call for urgent release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists has made a passionate appeal to the international community to help release Kashmiri detainees from India’s jam-packed prisons amid high risk of coronavirus transmission.

A DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar on Monday said that since India’s packed prisons have raised COVID-19 alarm there was a dire need that India should release all unjustly detained Kashmiris.

Reminding India of its international rights obligations, the spokesman said that as per the international covenants New Delhi was duty bound to protect prisoners. He said that keeping detainees in the overcrowded prisons, which have emerged as potential infection hot spots was tantamount to endanger prisoners’ lives. »

Islamabad, May 04 (KMS): Hurriyat leader and Senior Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front Altaf Hussain Wani has reminded the UK Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer that Kashmir is a UN-recognized disputed territory that needs to be resolved peacefully through right to self-determination.

Altaf Hussain Wani in a letter addressed to the Labour Party leader, rejected the UK Labour Party leader’s contentions on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and said, “Kashmir is in no way a constitutional matter for India but it remains to be one of the oldest unresolved issues pending on the UN agenda.” »

Srinagar, May 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam has urged the local police to shun callousness and behave with the people of Kashmir in a compassionate manner especially at a time when pandemic COVID-19 is fast spreading in the territory.

Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in a media interview in Srinagar said that he had been receiving lot of complaints against police who had been beating, thrashing and misbehaving with the common masses.

New Delhi, May 04 (KMS): The Delhi-based headquarters of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been sealed after over 130 personnel tested COVID-19 positive, yesterday.

The number of COVID-19 cases also shot up in the Border Security Force (BSF), with 25 more personnel testing positive for the disease, taking the tally in the BSF to 42, officials said.

The new cases were reported from a unit of the 126th battalion of the force, deployed in Chandni Mahal area of New Delhi.

“A total of 25 troops from this unit deployed in Delhi tested positive for the disease on Sunday. Six from the unit had tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday,” a BSF spokesperson said. »

Srinagar, May 04: (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party has suffered a major setback in the Ladakh region when its newly appointed president and former minister Chering Dorjay resigned from his political position as well as primary membership of the party in protest.

Dorjay resigned to protest the failure of the authorities to evacuate passengers, patients, pilgrims and students from Ladakh stranded at various places inside India.

“I have submitted my resignation to the BJP President, JP Nadda,” he said adding that the authorities had failed in evacuating people from the region stranded at different places throughout India.
