Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement Chairman, Muhammad Shafi Lone has strongly condemned the atrocities, perpetrated by the Indian forces against the innocent people of the territory.

Muhammad Shafi Lone in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the indiscriminate firing by the brute Indian forces resulting in the death of youths is a glaring example of the brutality and inhuman treatment towards the oppressed Kashmiris. “The people in Kashmir are demanding their birth right of self determination which India can deny them for long.”

The Kashmiris are sacrificing for the cherished goal of freedom from occupational forces and this goal will be turned into reality soon, he added. »

Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police didn’t hand over the body of a 14-year-old boy from Qaziabad village of north Kashmir’s Handwara for his last rites and instead laid him to rest in Army-run Seeri graveyard of Baramulla where usually those youth, who are killed in custody, are buried.

Pertinently, the boy, Hazim Shafi Butt, was killed in firing by a patrolling team of Central Reserve Police Force at Wangam Crossing in Handwara on Sunday evening.

Initially, the police dubbed the boy, who was physically handicapped, as a militant but later said that he was a civilian and was killed during the crossfire. »

Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at least six persons including an Indian police officer and Central Reserve Police Force constable were injured in a grenade blast in Badgam district, today.

the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Ghulam Rasool alias Dilawar, CRPF constable Santosh Kumar and four pedestrians were injured in a grenade blast at Pakherpora market of the district.

The troops launched siege and search operation in the area.

Meanwhile, the troops during a cordon and search operation ruthlessly beat up one Tanvir Ahmed at Tantana in Doda district. The Indian army arrested the youth claiming that he was a militant.

Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unrelenting military siege and crippling lockdown imposed by the fascist Modi government of India on August 5, last year, have completed 9 months, today.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, said, the life of Kashmiris has been made a living hell by the Indian authorities since New Delhi illegally abrogated Article 370 of its constitution on August 5, 2019, to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The move, it added, was aimed at snatching away identity of the Kashmiris through changing the Muslim-majority status of the occupied territory.

The report says, that in order to give legal justification to non-resident Hindus to settle in IOK, India recently notified new domicile law for the territory . The report added that following this sinister move, three hundred thousand (300,000) domicile certificates were granted to non-locals while the Modi government continues to replace the Muslim names of the territory with Hindu names. »

Islamabad, May 05 (KMS): Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with his counterpart of Bahrain Dr. Adullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, today to discuss with him the prevailing situation in Indian occupied Kashmir and coronavirus outbreak.

Foreign Minister Qureshi expressed deep concerns over continued restrictions on movement and communication in Jammu and Kashmir depriving 8 million Kashmiris of means to combat the disease. He called for lifting of restrictions on dissemination of information, and allowing unfettered supply of medicines and other essentials. He also called for raising voice against campaign by India to demonize Muslims in the context of the COVID-19 spread. »

New Delhi, May 05 (KMS): Family members of arrested Jamia Millia Islamia student, Safoora Zargar, say they are appalled and upset by the attempts made to slander her on social media in Modi’s India.

Safoora Zargar, a 27-year-old M.Phil. student from Jamia, is over three months pregnant, and was arrested by the Delhi Police’s special cell on 10 April. She was later denied bail and, on 21 April, charged under the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

“I don’t even want to dignify these trolls by responding to them, they will do what they have to,” Safoora’s husband said. »
