Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has called for a complete strike in the entire territory, tomorrow, against the killing of top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, Riyaz Naikoo and other martyrs.

The APHC spokesman, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, while paying rich tributes to Riyaz Niakoo and other martyrs appealed people to come out in large numbers and offer funerals of the martyrs. He also urged people to offer funeral prayers in absentia for the martyrs in their villages, hometowns and cities on Friday. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the chief commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Riyaz Naikoo has been martyred along with his associate Aadil Ahmed during a cordon and search operation by Indian troops in Pulwama district, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Riyaz Naikoo had taken over as the commander of Hizbul Mujahideen after popular young commander Burhan Wani was killed by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokarnag area of Islamabad district on July 8, 2016.

In the wake of the killing of Riyaz Naikoo and Aadil Ahmad, the authorities suspended mobile internet services in the entire occupied territory and imposed curfew-like restrictions. Earlier, the troops martyred another two youth in Sharshali area of the district raising the toll to four in one day. People took to the streets at different places in Pulwama district to pretest the killing of Riyaz Naikoo and other youth. Many people were injured when the Indian troops and police resorted to brute force to quell the protests. »

Glowing tributes paid to Naikoo, other martyrs

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other pro-freedom leaders and organizations have urged the Kashmiri people to come to the streets against the genocide of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops and express solidarity with the families of the martyrs.

The Hurriyat leaders and organizations paid rich tributes to chief operational commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Riyaz Naikoo and Aadil Ahmad who were martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Beighpora Awantipora in Pulwama district, today.

The Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Umar Aadil Dar, Yasmeen Raja, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muslim League, Peoples League, Students and Youth Forum, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, Ummat-e-Islami, Karwaan-e-Islami and Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League said that youth like Riyaz Naikoo and Aadil Ahmad would continue to live in the hearts and minds of the Kashmiri people and that they would remain the symbol of Kashmiris’ resistance against India. They maintained that though India was snatching youths like Riyaz Naikoo physically but it couldn’t crush the Kashmiri people’s freedom sentiment. They made it clear that the Kashmiris were ready to face Indian bullets on their chests but would never surrender their just cause. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Sharshali area of the district. The operation continued till last reports came in.

An Indian police official claimed that the youth were militants and were killed in a clash with the troops.

Muzaffarabad, May 06 (KMS): Chief of Hizbul Mujahideen and Supreme Commander of United Jihad Council, Syed Salahuddin while paying glowing tributes to Operational Commander Riyaz Naikoo and Adil Ahmad has said that the reign of oppression unleashed by India in occupied Kashmir will end, one day.

Syed Salahuddin while addressing a meeting in Muzaffarabad said that Naikoo and Adil sacrificed their lives for the sacred cause. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) Chairman, Umar Aadil Dar, has strongly condemned the cold-blooded murder of a 14-year-old handicapped boy by Indian troops in Handwara.

The boy, Hazim Ahmed Butt, was killed in unprovoked firing by a patrolling team of Central Reserve Police Force at Wangam Crossing in Handwara on Sunday evening.

Umar Aadil Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the Indian forces’ personnel were not even sparing mentally and physically challenged persons. This, he said, reflects the mental and moral bankruptcy of the occupational forces. »

Islamabad, May 06 (KMS): To exchange views on the Covid-19 pandemic and its repercussions, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.

The Foreign Minister expressed concerns over spread of Covid-19 in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir due to continued restrictions on movement and lack of unfettered access to medical and other essential supplies. »

Srinagar, May 06 (KMS): Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President in Ladakh, Cherring Dorjey, has hit out at the Ladakh administration for failing to come up to the expectations. He has also said that the people of Kargil want to be the part of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Cherring Dorjey, who resigned from the post of BJP President for Ladakh and from the basic membership of the party recently, said, “Ladakhis are not happy with UT [Ladakh] administration during last eight months”.

Dorjey said that despite raising issues with BJP high command, nothing was done on the ground. He also acknowledged that people of Kargil want to be the part of Jammu and Kashmir, however, majority of people in Leh are in favour of Union Territory. »

Islamabad, May 06 (KMS): The Convener of APHC-AJK chapter, Syed Abdullah Gilani while condemning the killing of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir has said that Indian forces have been given a license to arrest and kill youth in fake encounters.

Syed Abdullah Gilani in a statement in Islamabad while paying tributes to the youth martyred in Islamabad, Shopian, Handwara and other areas of the occupied territory said that the people of Kashmir had a great respect for the youth who were rendering their lives for the great cause.

The APHC-AJK Convener said that India could not suppress the freedom sentiments of the Kashmiri people through brutal tactics adding that New Delhi was pursuing an evil agenda of suppressing the Kashmiris’ genuine struggle for freedom through brute force. He pointed out that India was committing crimes against the Kashmiris under the garb of coronavirus. He termed it as the worst state terrorism and said that Indian forces were hell-bent upon killing every Kashmiri in the occupied territory. »

Zafarul Islam Khan booked for speaking in favour of Muslims

New Delhi, May 06 (KMS): As the hate campaign against Muslims is growing in India, Delhi police have booked the Chairman of Delhi Minority Commission, Zafarul Islam Khan, under sedition charges for thanking Kuwaiti government for speaking in favour of Indian Muslims.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police registered a case of sedition against Zafarul Islam Khan charging him for the subversion of the constitution and incitement of discontent.

The police booked Khan for his remarks on the social media. He wrote on his social media post last week, “Thank you Kuwait for standing with the Indian Muslims! The Hindutva bigots calculated that given the huge economic stakes involved the Muslim and Arab world will not care about the persecution of Muslims in India. The bigots forgot that Indian Muslims enjoy huge goodwill in the eyes of the Arab and Muslim world for their services over centuries to Islamic causes, excellence in Islamic and Arabic scholarship, cultural and civilisational gifts to world heritage.” »
