Islamabad, May 14 (KMS): A meeting of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter was held in Islamabad, today, with General Secretary, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb in chair.

Current situation of occupied Kashmir was thoroughly discussed in the meeting. The participants of the meeting expressed serious concern over the killing of innocent Kashmiri people especially youth by the Indian troops. They said that India wanted to weaken the freedom sentiment of the people of the occupied territory by committing the worst kind of atrocities but it would never succeed in its nefarious designs. »

Several injured in troops’ firing on protesters

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has strongly condemned the cold-blooded murder of a youth, Merajuddain Shah, by Indian troops in Kawoosa area of Badgam district, yesterday.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the occupational forces were continuously y targeting peaceful Kashmiris. He called on peace-loving nations across the world to prevent India from committing gross human rights violations in Kashmir. Syed Ali Gilani also urged the international community to fulfill its commitment to facilitate the peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum in a statement in Srinagar said that shooting and killing the youth at point blank range was an inhuman and brutal act of the Indian forces. The forum deplored that when the entire world was grappling with the coronavirus pandemic, the people of Kashmir were subjected to live under a state of constant fear and uncertainty. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family of Merajuddin Shah, who was murdered in cold-blood by Indian Central Reserve Police Force personnel in Budgam district on Wednesday, have refuted the version of Indian forces and said that he was deliberately killed by the CRPF personnel.

Merajuddin Shah was killed after the CRPF personnel fired on his vehicle near Kawoosa in Narbal area of the district. His killing triggered anti-India protests in the area. Many people including two women were injured when Indian troops fired pellets and teargas to disperse the protestors. The women received pellet injuries in their eyes and they were shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment. The authorities shut internet service in the area. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the cold-blooded murder of 24-year old Merajuddin Shah by Indian troops in Badgam district.

The forum in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the shooting and killing of youth by CRPF personnel at point blank range while he was travelling along with his uncle in his car as an inhuman act. “For the past thirty years, Kashmir keeps witnessing such brutality from time to time with no accountability,” the statement added. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Khawaja Firdous has condemned the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists amid coronavirus pandemic.

Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that there were reports that many prisoners had been infected with coronavirus in Indian jails and it was something which was really a great cause of concern for the people of Kashmir, especially the relatives of the detainees. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, one more person died of coronavirus taking the number of such deaths from the infectious disease in the territory to 11.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a 72-year-old man from Jammu died of the viral infection.

The total number of confirmed coronavirus positive cases in occupied Kashmir till now is 1013. Of those 874 are in the Kashmir Valley, 97 in Jammu division and 42 in Ladakh region.

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have strongly condemned the killing of a civilian youth by Indian troops in Badgam district, yesterday.

The youth identified as Merajuddin Shah was killed after Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force fired on his vehicle near Kawoosa in Narbal area of the district.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, in his statement in Srinagar said that the Indian forces were killing innocent Kashmiris with impunity and the world must take strict action against the Indian brutalities in the territory. He said that the people of Kashmir would always remember the sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs and would leave no stone unturned to take their mission to its logical conclusion. »
