Forceful anti-India, anti-Israel demos in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, has called upon the Muslims around the world to stand up for the freedom of oppressed people of Palestine and Kashmir from Zionist Israel and fascist regime in India.

Syed Ali Gilani in a message in connection with the Quds Day, today, reminded the Muslims not to let the world forget the issue of Palestine by creating an atmosphere of silence. He also brought the attention of the Muslims towards the oppressed and neglected Muslims of occupied Kashmir at a time when Indian regime in New Delhi was in a process of changing the demography of the territory.

Senior APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, in a statement in Srinagar expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine fighting to secure freedom from Zionist Israel. He urged the UN to implement its resolutions which is the ultimate solution to settle the Palestinian issue. »

Islamabad, May 22 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a meeting, today, in Islamabad in connection with Jumat-ul-Wida observed as the Day of Quds across the Muslim world.

The meeting, which was presided over by APHC-AJK General Secretary, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, impressed upon the global community to help secure the people of Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir their inalienable right to self-determination.

The meeting urged the world to take serious note of the fascist Modi govt’s nefarious plan to alter the demographic composition of Kashmir on the pattern of what Israel has done in Palestine. It added that issuing new domicile law and rules by India in occupied Kashmir were only aimed to settle non-Kashmiri Hindus in the territory to outnumber the local population. It deplored that all this was being done in brazen violation of international laws and UN resolutions on Kashmir. »

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a special court of India’s notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) has denied bail to a cleric for leading funeral prayers of a martyred youth in Islamabad district in 2018.

The youth, Amir Tantray, was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation on October 25, 2018, at Arwani in Bijbehara. His funeral was held the next day and was led by the cleric, Muhammad Iqbal Butt.

Iqbal was arrested from his native village, Damhal Hanjipora in the district, on March 03, this year, 726 days after leading funeral prayers of the martyred youth. He was booked by the occupation authorities on the charge that the participants of the funeral raised anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans. »

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine fighting to secure freedom from Zionist, colonial entity of Israel.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, who is under continued house arrest since 3rd August, 2019, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Zionist script was an extension of colonialism and Apartheid, never seen in the history of human kind. “It set out to viciously and violently occupy all of Palestine, by changing its demographics through ethnic cleansing, terrorism and genocide,” he said. »

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders including Jahangir Ghani Butt, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Ahmed Rathar and Syed Aijaz Rehmani, have expressed solidarity with senior APHC leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, over the martyrdom of his son, Junaid Sehrai.

Indian troops martyred Junaid Sehrai along with his associate, Tariq Ahmed, and destroyed 17 houses during a cordon and search operation in Nawakadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

Jahangir Ghani Butt along with a delegation visited the residence of Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and paid glowing tributes to Junaid Sehrai. Speaking on the occasion, he expressed serious concern over the continued bloodshed and vandalism by Indian troops in the Kashmir Valley. He maintained that Kashmir is an internationally accepted dispute and needs to be resolved through meaningful dialogue between Pakistan and India for development, prosperity and peace in the region. »

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) has expressed serious concern over the surge in Indian troops’ atrocities in the territory.

The DPM at a meeting held in Srinagar and presides over by its Chairman, Khawaja Firdous, reviewed the prevailing human rights situation in the occupied territory.

On the occasion, Khawaja Firdous strongly denounced the killing and arrest of youth, destruction of public property and other brutalities of Indian troops even during the holy month of Ramadan. He said that Indian state terrorism would not be able to force the Kashmiris to give up their freedom struggle and they would secure freedom from the Indian yoke at all costs. He said Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute to be settled under the UN resolutions. »

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the current phase of stringent curbs imposed by India in the name of preventing coronavirus spread has only escalated the sense of siege-mentality for the lockdown-ridden people of the territory.

Shagufta, 18, of the Rajouri Kadal area of Srinagar said that she had witnessed the 2016 and 2019 lockdowns, but to some extent, that besieged life was bearable. “But I don’t know why this present lockdown feels a different experience,” she said.

After a certain point in the current pandemic lockdown, Shagufta couldn’t take her besieged routine anymore. Feeling vexed, she started raising her pitch against her parents, and refused to come out of her room for hours together. In seclusion, she kept thinking of her classmates with whom she shared the last normal class before August 04, 2019. »

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops arrested two more youth in Pulwama.

The youth were arrested by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Pulwama town.

Meanwhile, the Indian troops along with paramilitary and police personnel continued their cordon and search operations in Srinagar, Ganderbal, Badgam, Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, Islamabad, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Rjaouri, Poonch, Samba and Kathua and other areas of the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, May 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Narendra-Modi led fascist BJP government has crossed all limits of brutalities, making the lives of the people of the territory a living hell.

An analytical report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, said that killings, arrests, cordon and search operations, use of brute force and destruction of houses by Indian troops and police had become a norm in the occupied territory. It said that the fresh wave of violence and atrocities by the Indian forces had increased the miseries of innocent Kashmiris who were already suffering immensely due to over 9 months long siege and military lockdown imposed by India.

The report maintained that amid the fast deteriorating political and human rights situation in occupied Kashmir, the rising tide of premeditated and politically motivated violence against the Kashmiris by Indian forces amounts to war crimes. »
