134 martyred, 1299 injured by Indian troops since Aug 5 2019

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the inhumane lockdown imposed by RSS-backed Narendra Modi-led fascist government on August 05, last year, when it revoked the special status of the territory, has completed 300 days.

An analytical report prepared, today, by Senior Editor of Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Raza Malik, on the completion of 300 days of unrelenting military siege and lockdown in the occupied territory, revealed that Indian troops martyred 134 Kashmiris including 4 women during the period. It said that at least 1,299 people were critically injured due to the use of brute force including firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by Indian military, paramilitary and police personnel on peaceful demonstrators. »

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum, today, visited the residence of Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in Srinagar to enquire about his health and to express solidarity with him.

The delegation was led by JKYSF Chairman, Umar Aadil Dar, and comprised Advocate Asif Baba, Tauseef Ahmed, Ghulam Rasool Kaloo, Faisal Ahmed, Advocate Zia, Minority in charge, Angath Singh Khalisa and other social activists.

During the meeting, Umar Aadil Dar assured Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai that he would not budge an inch from his stand on Kashmir and offered full support to the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. He also reiterated his resolve to resist all nefarious designs of India, tooth and nail. »

New Delhi, May 30 (KMS): The Delhi High Court has pulled up the Indian infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) for hurriedly transferring social activist, Gautam Navlakha, who is facing probe for his alleged role in the Bhima Koregaon violence case, to Mumbai.

A bench of Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani said that frantic hurry was shown by the NIA in moving Navlakha from Delhi to Mumbai while a matter related to Navlakha’s interim bail plea was pending and the NIA had itself sought time to file a status report. »

Islamabad, May 30 (KMS): Professor Khursheed Ahmad, an economist and prominent intellectual, has said that the Kashmir movement has entered its final phase but it is difficult to predict the duration of this phase.

Professor Khursheed Ahmad, a Pakistani scholar, who shuttles between Lahore and London, said in his weekly column published by the World News TV UK website: “The present stage of the Kashmir movement is effective and decisive…There are some signs that it is the last stage of this movement.”

“The real issue is the Indian occupation. The internationally settled solution to this problem is a plebiscite for the right of self-determination. This issue is the central point. India wants that people should forget the UN resolutions on Kashmir…The main issue of the right to self-determination should be raised at every level,” the professor said. »

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the death toll due to the coronavirus rose to 28 after an elderly person died of the infectious disease at a hospital in Srinagar.

A 70-year-old man from Aliarpora, Bagander area of Shopian died at SMHS hospital in Srinagar on Thursday evening and on Friday his sample tested positive for COVID-19. He was admitted in the hospital on Wednesday as pneumonia patient with underlying hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

With this fatality, the death toll due to the COVID-19 reached 28 in occupied Kashmir – 25 in Kashmir and 3 in Jammu. »

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Wanpora area of the district. The troops have sealed all entry and exit points of the area.

Karachi, May 30 (KMS): Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah must go beyond mere statements and take practical steps against the decades-long illegitimate Indian occupation in the valley, stated Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chairperson Syed Mustafa Kamal.

He expressed these views while addressing a party meeting on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.

“The world will not raise its voice for the oppressed Kashmiri people until it is made to realise that world peace is annexed to peace in Kashmir,” claimed Kamal, adding, “The unfortunate reality is that countries do not stand with the oppressed but with their own interests, which are related to trade with India.” »

Srinagar, May 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the National Conference (NC) has rejected the setting up of a Delimitation Commission announced by the Indian government recently for redrawing parliamentary and assembly constituencies in the territory.

The NC, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, the delimitation commission is a product of the so-called J&K Reorganization Act 2019, which the party is challenging in and outside the Indian Supreme Court, adding, “Participating in this Delimitation Commission will be tantamount to accepting the events of 5th August 2019, which the NC is unwilling to do.” »
