Islamabad, May 28 (KMS): Foreign Office spokesperson has condemned the commencement of construction at Babri Masjid site.

The spokesperson in a statement in Islamabad said that the world was grappling with the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic and the RSS-BJP in India was busy unabashedly advancing the Hindutva agenda.

She said the commencement of construction of a Mandir at the site of the historic Babri Masjid in Ayodhya yesterday is another step in this direction and the government and people of Pakistan condemn it in the strongest terms. »

Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops blasted a private car and damaged several houses in Pulwama district.

The personnel of 44 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and police during a cordon and search operation fired several gunshots on a person, who escaped unhurt due to the darkness, in Ayengund Rajpora area of the district. Later, the troops blasted a car in the area. The troops also damaged several houses and broke window-panes in the area. »

Islamabad, May 28 (KMS): Pakistan has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to intervene and hold India accountable for its grave breaches of international humanitarian law and war crimes in occupied Kashmir and take steps to settle the decades-old Kashmir dispute.

Speaking at the virtual meeting of the Security Council on the ‘Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict in New York, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Munir Akram warned that inaction by the 15-member body in cases of foreign aggression and occupation comes at a high human cost. »

Jammu, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, various Sikh organisations including Sikh Intellectuals Circle Jammu and Kashmir, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), International Sikh Federation, Sikh Students Federation and Sikh Youth of Jammu and Kashmir have strongly condemned the attack on a temple in Derby, UK, and demanded a thorough probe by the UK government.

Sikh leaders of these organisations including Chairman of Sikh Intellectuals Circle Jammu and Kashmir, Narinder Singh Khalsa, Bhai Gurdev Singh, Ranjit Singh, Amarjit Singh, Amandip Singh, Rajinder Singh, Devinder Singh, Manmohan Singh, Surinder Singh and Manjit Singh in a joint statement said that immediate reaction and concern of the entire Kashmiri and Pakistani community in UK and elsewhere was quite satisfactory and clear to understand the motive behind all such mysterious acts to sabotage Muslim-Sikh unity. »

Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian authorities have extended ban on 4G internet service in the territory to victimize the freedom-loving Kashmiris who are already suffering immensely due to military siege and coronavirus outbreak.

An order issued by Shaleen Kabra, Principal Secretary Home Department of occupied Kashmir said that the gag on 4G Internet connectivity would continue till 17th June or until further orders.

It is to mention here that Narendra Modi-led fascist government in New Delhi had suspended the internet and mobile phone services in occupied Kashmir on August 05, 2019 when it revoked the special status of the territory and placed it under lockdown. Although, the Indian government claims that landline phones and 2G internet services have been restored in the occupied territory but the residents continue to suffer immensely due to absence of prepaid mobile and 4G internet connectivity, particularly after the spread of coronavirus, which has wreaked havoc across the globe. »

Islamabad, May 28 (KMS): APHC-AJK chapter member and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement, Imtiaz Wani, has said that India is suppressing the Kashmiris’ freedom movement through military might but will never succeed in its nefarious designs.

Imtiaz Wani in a statement issued in Islamabad expressed serious concern over the continued cordon and search operations, killings and arrest of youth in occupied Kashmir. He urged the world human rights bodies to take notice of the grim human rights situation in the occupied territory.

He said that the entire world was facing fatal COVID-19 pandemic but India had created an atmosphere of fear in the occupied territory. He said that India was committing atrocities to suppress the Kashmiris’ voice but it was forgetting the historical fact not a freedom movement could be suppressed through use of brute force.

Imtiaz Wani also paid glowing tributes to the youth, recently martyred by Indian troops and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their liberation struggle till complete success. »

Muslims of Indian occupied Kashmir, Valley in particular, would complete 293 days under an unlawful lockdown imposed on them from 5th August 2019, which continues till 24th May 2020. Maharaja of Kashmir imposed a curfew in 1931 and it lasted for 11 days only. Kashmiri Muslims engaged in a popular uprising were declared as ‘turbulent’ people by the Maharaja’s administration. Ultimately the ruler had to pack, lock, stock and barrel and leave the State.

People in the Valley are under a lockdown and Indian army has thrown away the keys. Other Kashmiris studying, working in offices, as street vendors and businessmen in various parts of India have either been chased out by RSS people or out of fear have decided to return on Eid. They are being treated like criminals and have been lodged in all kinds of accommodations, like, godowns, closed schools or colleges or any deserted place in the urban or rural areas. »

Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a 55-year-old man from Khanpora area of Baramulla district died of coronavirus, today, taking the death toll due to the infectious disease to 27 in the territory.

Dr Salim Khan, nodal officer for COVID-19 at the Government Medical College, Srinagar, told media that the man was referred from GMC Hospital, Baramulla, with fever and respiratory distress on Wednesday to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar.
