Says commitment to freedom runs in his blood

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that his commitment to the freedom struggle runs through his blood and there is no force on earth that can keep him away from protecting the cause of the Kashmiri martyrs.

In his tweets, today, Syed Ali Gilani rubbished the Indian media’s propaganda against him.

New Delhi, June 30 (KMS): A New Delhi based Indian non-governmental organization working on children’s rights has said that seventy-seven percent children below five years of age could not have access to basic services like immunisation during the ongoing lockdown in occupied Kashmir.

The NGO Child Rights and You, commonly abbreviated as CRY in a statement in New Delhi citing a study said, “’Rapid Online Perception Study about the Effects of COVID-19 on Children’ was conducted during the first and second phases of the lockdown based on responses of parents and primary caregivers in Jammu and Kashmir.” »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has said that India is working on a major conspiracy to implement its anti-people agenda in Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the wife of illegally detained senior APHC leader and Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has expressed serious concern over the health of her husband,who is suffering from multiple ailments including diabetes, amid the spike in COVID-19 cases, particularly in Indian jails.

Shabbir Shah’s wife Dr Bilqees Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said that she had received a call from her husband Shabbir Ahmad Shah from Delhi’s Tihar jail and came to know that he was very seriously ill as him immune system had gone very weak. Shabbir Shah is in Tihar jail, Delhi, for the past three and half years and is not getting proper diet, she added.

“Now when whole world has been caught in the grip of the pandemic and the health system across the globe has been rendered paralyzed due to COVID-19, it is beyond the capacity of Tihar jail health centre to cope with the menace,” she said. »

The student said, “I was still moving when the Indian army man hit me with a lathi on my back and threatened to shoot me but I don’t know what saved me from him.”

New Delhi, June 30 (KMS): Dozens of prisoners at Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail resorted to forceful agitation against the inhuman treatment meted out to them at the hands of jail authorities.

The authorities while describing the agitating prisoners as ‘foreigners’ informed the Delhi High Court on Monday that some prisoners forced their exit from the hall and also damaged the locks of the gates.

“… 15-20 foreign inmates created a problem in the prison. They forced their exit from the room and also damaged the door locks in Wards 9 and Chakkar,” a single bench of the high court judge led by Justice C. Harishankar was informed. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian Army camp was attacked with a grenade at Chittergam in Budgam district, the other day.

A senior police officer told media men in Srinagar that the Indian Army’s 50 RR camp was attacked with an Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL). However, the bomb fell outside the camp at a brick kiln, he added.

In this incident no loss of life or injury was reported, the officer said. Soon after the attack whole area was cordoned off by the Indian forces and a house-to-house search operation was started.

Islamabad, June 30 (KMS): The Convener of Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, has said that Indian troops have intensified their state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

Syed Faiz Naqshbandi in a statement issued in Islamabad deplored that on one hand, Indian troops were killing innocent Kashmiri youth on daily basis in staged encounters while on the other, Indian government was issuing domicile certificates of occupied Kashmir to Indian Hindus. He said that the issuance of the domicile certificates was illegal and was against the international law, the UN resolutions on Kashmir and the 4th Geneva Convention. The only aim of this move by India is to change the demographics of occupied Kashmir, he said. »
