IOK people donate generously, Rs 3 Crore collected in 12 days

Srinagar, June 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, rising to the occasion, people of the territory donated about Rs 3 crores in just 12 days to build the houses which were destroyed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Nawakadal area of Srinagar on May 19.

The troops had martyred top commander of Huzbul Mujahideen, Junaid Sehrai, along with an associate and destroyed 19 houses during the operation. The troops had also looted cash and jewellery from the houses. »

Lahore, June 02 (KMS): Prominent Kashmiri jurist and a former judge of Lahore High Court, Syed Sharif Hussain Bukhari passed away in Lahore.

Born in 1936 in Kreeri village of Baramullah district in occupied Kashmir, Justice (retired) Sharif Bukhari received early education at Kreeri and Sopore. He pursued his LL.B. Degree at University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan and started Law Practice at Lahore, in 1961. He was enrolled as Advocate of the erstwhile West Pakistan High Court in 1963 and as Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1968. »

Islamabad, June 02 (KMS): APHC-AJK chapter has expressed grief over the sad demise of Kashmiri jurist and former judge of Lahore High Court, Syed Sharif Hussain Bukhari in Lahore.

The APHC-AJK chapter at an online meeting in Islamabad, today, hailed the role of the former Kashmiri judge in the Kashmir’s freedom movement. The meeting was chaired by APHC-AJK General Secretary, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb. »

Srinagar, June 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Tehreek-e-Muzahamat Chairman Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui while paying glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs have said that the youth are preferring resistance against promising carriers.

Bilal Siddiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the youth were offering priceless services for the sacred cause of freedom. “Their red hot blood will never go waste, nor could India prevent the Kashmiri people from continuing their struggle to achieve the cherished dream of freedom.”

Reacting to the mass destruction of property and arson in Pulwama by the troops, he termed it an act of cowardice and a deliberate move to inflict collective punishment to the freedom loving Kashmiri people. Bilal Siddiqui while denouncing cordon and search operations in length and breadth of the territory said that occupational forces were making people to suffer despite the coronavirus outbreak. »

Srinagar, June 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two more people died of coronavirus, taking the total number of the fatalities due to the infectious disease in the territory to 33.

One among the victims is an elderly woman from Khanpora area of Baramulla district who died on Monday and her COVID-19 report came out positive posthumously today. The other is a 27-year-old man from Lolab area of Kupwara, who died at Srinagar’s SMHS hospital on Monday and his report also came out positive posthumously today. »

Srinagar, June 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today, taking the toll to 15 within 24 hours.

The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Saimoh area of the district. The authorities suspended internet service in the area.

Yesterday, the troops martyred 13 Kashmiri youth; 10 during a violent military operation in Mendhar and other villages of Poonch district and three in Nawshehra area of Rajouri district.

Srinagar, June 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the orders of delimitation commission set up by the Indian government for fixing boundaries of Assembly and Parliamentary segments in occupied Jammu and Kashmir cannot be challenged in any court, a move seen by many political analysts as an attempt by Delhi to ensure the restriction of Muslim majority seats in the occupied territory.

The law governing creation of the body makes it unambiguously clear that its every order shall have the force of the law and shall not be called in question in any court, says Delimitation Commission Act.

“Upon publication in the Gazette of India, every such order shall have the force of law and shall not be called in question in any court,” reads sub-section (2) of section 10 of Delimitation Commission Act-2002. »

Islamabad, June 02 (KMS): Prime Minister Imran Khan has shared deep concern over continuing double lockdown as well as the intensification of military crackdown by Indian occupation forces in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He was talking with his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte, on telephone.

He denounced India’s moves to alter the demographic structure of the occupied territory, calling it a clear violation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions and international law, including the 4th Geneva Convention. »

Islamabad, June 02 (KMS): Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Shibli Faraz says the RSS-BJP government in India targeting minorities, especially Muslims, for racist and violent acts, has launched a campaign of baseless and false allegations against the staff of the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi.

In a statement, the minister said under the international law, preventing the Pakistan High Commission from discharging its diplomatic duties and arresting and torturing diplomatic staff was a heinous and highly reprehensible act. »

Islamabad, Jun 02 (KMS):Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar here discussed the latest situation of Indian Occupied Jammu Kashmir (IOJK) and other issues of mutual interest.

Both the leaders expressed grave concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in the held valley.

The AJK prime minister told Asad Umar that Indian occupant forces while taking undue advantage of the COVID-19 committing massive human rights abuses in the occupied territory. »
