World urged to take notice of innocent killings in IOK

Srinagar, June 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred four more Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, today, raising the toll to 9 in the past two days.

The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Pinjoora area of the district. Five youth were martyred by the troops in the same area, yesterday. The troops destroyed at least one house during the operation. Hundreds of locals came out of their houses, threw stones on the troops and shouted anti-India slogans.

Earlier, three Indian troops were critically injured in a clash in the same area. The authorities suspended all mobile internet services in Shopian district. The troops continued their cordon and search operations in Srinagar, Baramulla, Bandipore, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Budgam, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch, Kisthwar and Doda areas of the territory. »

Srinagar, June 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations while paying rich tributes to the nine Kashmiri youth, martyred by Indian troops in Shopian district, have sought the intervention by the United Nations on urgent basis to stop bloodshed in the territory.

Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) Chairman, Umar Aadil Dar in a statement in Srinagar said that insensitivity of the world towards the innocent killings was the main reason for the unabated bloodshed. He said that the youth were sacrificing their blood for the settlement of the long-pending Kashmir dispute and the people were indebted to these martyrs for their ultimate sacrifice. “It is the collective responsibility of the people of Kashmir and the leadership to take the ongoing movement to its ultimate destination,” he stressed. »

Srinagar, June 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi has expressed surprise and concern over the announcement of Amarnath Yatra by the Indian government.

Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Hindu extremist organization, RSS-led Indian government, has declared war on Muslims of occupied Kashmir and the RSS agenda is against Islam and Muslims. »

Srinagar, June 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation led by APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Devinder Singh Behl, visited the residences of Hurriyat leaders, illegally detained in Indian jails and expressed sympathy and solidarity with their families.

The delegation visited the residence of Hurriyat leader Ayaz Akbar whose ailing wife is struggling for life. The delegation assured the family members of their all help.

The delegation visited the house of APHC leader, Merajuddin Kalwal and met his wife and daughters. The family members expressed concern over Merajuddin’s continued illegal detention. »

Srinagar, June 8 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two Indian army officers separately committed suicide by shooting themselves with their service rifles in Poonch and Pulwama districts, today.

A non-commissioned officer Ashish Kumar committed suicide at Balnoi Mankote area of the district, officials said. An army official told media men that the NCO from Indian Army’s 8 Garhwal Unit was found in pool of blood by his colleagues soon after they heard a gunshot.

Ashish Kumar was moved to health facility but was declared dead on arrival by the doctors, the official added. “The reason for him taking such an extreme step is being ascertained,” the official added.

Earlier, a 58-year-old Sub-Inspector named Ashok Kumar of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) claimed his life by committing suicide in Khrew area of Pulwama district. The Sub-Inspector was a resident of Himachal Pradesh, India.

These two incidents raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel in occupied Kashmir to 454 since January 2007
