Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the 10th death anniversary of Tufail Mattoo was observed on Thursday with Hurriyat leaders, his family members and relatives paying rich tributes to the martyred youth.

Over a dozen people including the father of the martyred youth visited the martyrs’ graveyard, Eidgah in Srinagar and offered fateha for the departed souls.

Muhammad Ashraf Matoo, the father of Tufail Mattoo on this occasion told media that his son was killed by police and he was still waiting for the justice. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Islamic Political Party, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash has said that India is killing innocent youth to hide its failure and frustration in suppressing the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment.

Muhammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored silence of international community over the loss of life and property in the territory and said that it was tantamount to silent support to the Indian illegal actions in Kashmir.

He urged the world leaders to reconsider their policies and save the South Asia from getting plunged into disaster. “It is our duty to keep the United Nations abreast of India’s nefarious intentions, but it must also take its responsibility in this regard,” he maintained.

Finally, paying homage to the martyrs of Shopian, he said that the martyrs were the real assets of the freedom movement and that the Kashmiris’ main goal should always remain to advance their sacred mission.

Islamabad, June 11 (KMS): The newly-elected interim Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb has stressed the solution of Kashmir dispute under the United Nations resolutions.

Killings, destruction widely denounced

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their continuing acts of state terrorism have martyred 23 Kashmiri youth, including young boys, and destroyed over a dozen houses during cordon and search operations since 1st of June in different areas of the territory.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service in Srinagar, today, besides killings, the troops also looted money, gold and other valuables and arrested dozens of youth and humiliated inmates during the operations.

Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party led by illegally detained Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, expressed concern over the fast-deteriorating human rights situation and rampant killings in the territory. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has expressed concern over the fast-deteriorating human rights situation and rampant killing of youth by Indian troops in the territory.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, condemning the continued cordon and search operations in the territory, said that India was suppressing the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle through military might.

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement Chairman, Khawaja Firdous, has said that the Indian troops are killing the Kashmiris under the guise of coronavirus lockdown.

Khawaja Firdous addressing a meeting of his party in Srinagar said that India was mercilessly killing the Kashmiri youth under a well-thought-out plan to turn Muslim majority of the territory into a minority. He deplored that the Indian forces had killed more than 20 innocent Kashmiri youth in Shopian, Islamabad, Kulgam and Pulwama districts in the last one week. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF), Umar Aadil Dar has paid glorious tributes to Tufail Mattoo on his 10th martyrdom anniversary and other martyrs of 2010.

Tufail Mattoo, a student of 12th class, was killed in Srinagar on this day in 2010 when he was returning home from tuition. His killing had triggered massive anti-India demonstrations in the territory and over 120 protesters were martyred by Indian troops and police personnel within a period of three months. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a woman who had tested positive for Covid-19, died at a hospital in Srinagar, today, taking the number of virus related deaths in the territory to 53.

A 62-year-old woman from Kulgam district of south Kashmir was admitted at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar on Sunday as a case of acute calcular cholecystitis with hepatic flexural growth.

Dr Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent Soura hospital, said, “Her sample was taken on the same day and came out positive following which the patient was shifted to infectious disease ward on Monday”. “She breathed her last around 9.10 am today after suffering cardiopulmonary arrest,” he added. »
