Srinagar, June 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a woman has said that Indian soldiers harassed, misbehaved and ransacked household goods after barging into her house in Seelu area of Sopore town following her complaint about a ‘notorious’ drug peddler.

The woman, Nighat Bashir, said that the ‘notorious’ drug peddler known as Manpala lured her young brother to drugs and when she complained about the accused, the soldiers barged into her house and ransacked it. »

Srinagar, June 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, while hailing the statement of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in which he expressed concern over the killing and detention of children in Kashmir has said that freedom of speech and peaceful gathering is not allowed in the besieged territory.

Muhammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the UN Chief’s assertion should serve an eye-opener for the international community and added that it was self-explanatory and a document on brutalities perpetrated by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, June 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has appreciated the UN report on children where the UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres has expressed concern over the continued use of force, particularly against children by India in Jammu and Kashmir.

The forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said the UN report verified the killing of eight and maiming of 15 children between the ages of one year and 17 years during joint operations of the Indian forces in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, June 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement, Muhammad Shafi Lone, has said that India is hell bent upon suppressing the Kashmiris’ freedom movement through military might but is destined to fail in its designs.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Shafi Lone in a statement issued in Srinagar said Kashmir is a political dispute that needs to be resolved politically. He paid rich tributes to the youth recently martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, Islamabad, Kulgam and other areas of the occupied territory. He said the sacrifices of these martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

The JKEM Chairman deplored that killing innocent people with impunity, vandalizing properties, looting houses and shops, torturing people, putting residential houses to flames, launching crackdowns, firing pellet and bullet indiscriminately on peaceful protesters and other brutal actions to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle by Indian troops have become an order of the day in the occupied territory. »

Islamabad, June 17 (KMS): APHC-AJK chapter leader and the Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples movement (JKPM), Abdul Majeed Malik, has said that India cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement by killing youth, destroying houses and ransacking properties in occupied Kashmir.

Abdul Majeed Malik in a statement issued in Islamabad said that the APHC under the leadership of Syed Ali Gilani would continue its struggle for resolution of Kashmir dispute.

He denounced India for taking measures to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the people of occupied Kashmir would strongly resist the settlement of non-locals in the territory. »

IOK people understand such dirty ploys: Bilal Siddiqi

Srinagar, June 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Siddiqi, while reacting to circulation of certain letters on social media attributed to APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, has termed it the handiwork of Indian agencies, which are spreading such stuff to satisfy their make-believe world.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Bilal Siddiqi in a statement issued in Srinagar maintained that Syed Ali Gilani is an epitome of courage, steadfastness, farsightedness and resistance. He said attribution of such flimsy stuff to such a great leader speaks volumes about these agencies’ wicked designs to create a rift between Kashmiri people and their leadership.

“This is not first attempt on part of such agencies but during last more than three decades of the resistance against illegal Indian occupation, New Delhi and its agencies have hatched countless conspiracies to create wedge between different segments of freedom movement. But every time these dirty ploys met with disgraceful failures,” Bilal Siddiqi said. »

Islamabad, June 17 (KMS): Minister for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said the nation and political parties were united on Kashmir as it was a sacrosanct issue, above partisan considerations and of prime national importance.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he said the Parliament twice had passed unanimous resolutions to highlight the issue of Kashmir.

He said, “As a nation, our stance on Kashmir was the same, is the same and will be same.” »
