Muzaffarabad, June 26 (KMS): The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, has strongly condemned the issuance of domicile to the Indian citizens in occupied Kashmir.

Uzair Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad, today, stated that Indian government started an illegal initiative against the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that it was the worst example of usurpation of basic human rights that Indian authorities caged the local civilians and issued domiciles of disputed territory to Indian citizens. He pointed out that more than 27,000 applications for Jammu and 720 applications for Kashmir domicile have been received from Indian citizens. »

Islamabad, June 26 (KMS): The Information Secretary of APHC-AJK chapter, Sheikh Abdul Mateen has said that India is using torture as an instrument to suppress the ongoing liberation movement in occupied Kashmir but will never succeed in its sinister designs.

Sheikh Abdul Mateen in a statement issued in Islamabad on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, today, said that the Indian Army had established several torture centres in the occupied territory where innocent Kashmiris were subjected to brutal methods. »

New Delhi, June 26 (KMS): Chinese mobilisation in parts of eastern Ladakh indicates that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) could open a fresh front in Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) and Depsang Sectors, says an Indian media report.

India Today reported that data has confirmed Chinese mobilisation east of DBO. Camps and vehicles were spotted near the Chinese base in June. The said Chinese base was erected prior to 2016 but new camps and vehicle tracks in the region were seen only this month in satellite images and the same was confirmed by tracking movement on the ground. »

Domicile certificates being issued to non-Kashmiris

Jammu, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the fascist Indian government led by Narendra Modi has stepped up its efforts to change the Muslim majority status of the territory into a minority.

In the fresh assault on the demographic composition of the occupied territory, the occupation authorities have started issuing domicile certificates to the Indian citizens putting up in Doda district of Jammu region.

A camp has been set up in Doda by the district administration to issue domicile certificates to the non-residents.

“We’d received directives to provide certificates in two stages. We called a meeting of all field staffs and drafted a schedule. We are giving certificate to students in the first step. The staff has been working for three days. We want to cover the maximum number of students,” said Shabbir Malik, Tehsildar of Doda. »

The worst affected remains the Srinagar-Qazigund section where no exceptions are made by the Indian forces who sometimes make even ambulances wait.

“Every morning I have to spend more than an hour at different spots as Indian forces make way for the convoy, which is being made to ply in smaller lots of 10 to 15 vehicles at a time,” said a daily commuter who travels to his office in Srinagar from Islamabad town. He said that the new practice of moving convoys in smaller lots was making travel on the highway all the more cumbersome. »

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum (JKSPF), Advocate Devinder Singh Behl, has expressed concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in the territory.

Advocate Devinder Singh Behl, in a statement issued in Srinagar on International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, today, said that India signed the Convention against Torture (CAT) in 1997, but did not ratify it till date mainly because it would lose the cover for its military personnel engaged in brutal repression in the territory.

He maintained that the black laws had given unbridled powers to the Indian forces’ personnel who had made Kashmir a hunting ground. These trigger-happy forces are engaged in serious human rights violations including torture, he pointed out. »

Islamabad, June 26 (KMS): Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui says India’s latest action of seeking fifty percent reduction in the staff strength of Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi is a part of India’s desperate attempts to divert attention from its state-terrorism and worst human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

In the televised opening statement of the weekly news briefing, she said India would be better advised to focus on its internal and external issues, rather than creating diversions at the cost of peace and stability in South Asia. »

Islamabad, June 26 (KMS): The Foreign Office has said an emergency virtual meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir was held on Pakistan’s call focusing the worsening situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The Contact Group in its unanimous Communiqué reaffirmed its support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for realization of their inalienable right to self-determination and freedom from Indian occupation. »

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today, taking the number of slain youth in the territory to five from yesterday.

The troops martyred the three youth during a cordon and search operation in Tral area of the district. Earlier, two Indian troops were injured in an attack in the same area, last night. The troops have sealed all entry and exit points of Tral. The occupation authorities have snapped mobile internet service in the area.

The troops had killed two youth during a similar operation in Hardshiva area of Sopore town, yesterday.
