Muzaffarabad, June 26 (KMS): The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, has strongly condemned the issuance of domicile to the Indian citizens in occupied Kashmir.

Uzair Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad, today, stated that Indian government started an illegal initiative against the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that it was the worst example of usurpation of basic human rights that Indian authorities caged the local civilians and issued domiciles of disputed territory to Indian citizens. He pointed out that more than 27,000 applications for Jammu and 720 applications for Kashmir domicile have been received from Indian citizens.

The PeH Chairman maintained that Indian government abrogated the Articles 370 and 35-A on 5th August 2019. “Such Indian acts are against the resolutions of United Nations on Kashmir,” he said. He added that the Indian armed forces are engaged in the genocide of Kashmiris.

“The opening of wine bars in Muslim majority areas of Jammu and Kashmir is a big conspiracy,” Ghazali said.

He appreciated the OIC meeting that expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris, adding that the forum should build pressure on India to stop genocide of Muslims in occupied Kashmir.

He reiterated that people of Jammu and Kashmir have to forge greater unity among their ranks and take strong measures to save their identity and securing freedom from the Indian occupation.

He demanded of the UN to fulfill its obligations on Jammu and Kashmir and conduct plebiscite so that the people of Jammu and Kashmir can decide their future by themselves.
