Srinagar, June 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, COVID-19 claimed life of a woman, taking the total number of deaths due to the deadly disease in the territory to 93.

The 45-year-old woman from Khanabal area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad town died at a hospital in Srinagar on Saturday.

Professor Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent of Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar, told media men that the woman, a resident of Batengoo Khanabal, was hypertensive, diabetic with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and was also suffering from severe dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). She died today, he said. »

Rich tributes paid to martyred youth

Srinagar, June 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops continued massive cordon and search operations across the territory, subjecting the residents to torture and harassment.

The troops continue to carry on their violent operations in different areas of Srinagar, Badgam, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Bandipore, Baramulla, Shopian, Pulwama, Islamabad, Kulgam, Poonch, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri and Jammu. The residents of these areas told media that the Indian forces’ personnel barge into the residential houses, harass the inmates and vandalize the household goods. The troops have also arrested several youth from different areas.

Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Umar Aadil Dar, Mir Muhammad Iqbal and Ghulam Ahmed in their statements in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the youth and an 8-year-old boy recently martyred by Indian troops. They said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

Meanwhile, the residents of occupied Kashmir have been urged through a social media campaign that all village/mohalla/town committees of the territory should come together and make sure that not a single non-local lives in their areas. »

Islamabad, June 27 (KMS): The AJK chapter of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum has hailed the statement of Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President of the US, Joe Biden, that he wants India to take necessary steps to restore the Kashmiris’ rights.

The Convener of the AJK chapter of the Hurriyat forum, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, addressing a meeting in Islamabad said that the world powers should take notice of the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir. He denounced the continued illegal house arrest of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq since August 05, 2019.

He expressed concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and other Kashmiri detainees lodged in different Indian jails where the coronavirus has widely spread. »

Srinagar, June 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the residents of occupied Kashmir have been urged through a social media campaign that all village/mohalla/town committees of the territory should come together and make sure that not a single non-local lives in their areas.

The campaigners have said that the committees should ask all non-Kashmiris to vacate and leave Kashmir, adding that each and every local committee must do its part.

They said that all of the committees should give clear instructions to people that anyone who tried to give space to non-locals and anyone who tried to sell land to any non-Kashmiri would be socially boycotted and evicted from the area. »

New Delhi, June 27 (KMS): Illegally detained senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has moved a Delhi court seeking a separate cell in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail.

In an application, advocate Qausar Khan submitted that Shabbir Ahmed Shah is suffering from various ailments that puts him in danger in case he contracts the coronavirus. »

Brussels, June 27 (KMS): The Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), Ali Raza Syed has strongly condemned the brutal killing of a kid by Indian troops in Bijbehera area of Islamabad district of occupied Kashmir.

Ali Raza Syed in a statement issued in Brussels said that according to the international laws, children, women and old people were protected in any war but India did not care of international rules for human rights. “Killing of the Kashmiri minor in Bijbehera area of occupied Kashmir is the worst form of state terrorism,” he added.

He further said, India is using all kinds of brutal acts to press the people of Kashmir, who are struggling for their right to self-determination. »

Muzaffarabad, June 27 (KMS): Prime Minister Imran Khan has Indian extremist government of Narendra Modi has intensified its atrocities on people of Occupied Kashmir.

He said use of pallet guns, abduction of youth, mass graves and other heinous crimes are increasing.

New Delhi, June 27 (KMS): As tensions run high between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, and no talks scheduled so far between military commanders, the Chinese army has started consolidating its positions in the Pangong Tso area, says a media report.

This includes undertaking construction of a helipad at Finger 4 and a sudden increase of Chinese troops on the southern banks of Pangong Tso, says the report published in the Indian Express.

The move shows that the Chinese are asserting their claims and conveying their disinclination for restoration of status quo ante in the area. »

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC), Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India had stepped up its brutalities in the occupied territory. He said that the world powers should intervene and play role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and Kashmiris’ aspirations.

He urged India to give up its military and communal policy on Kashmir and give the Kashmiris their right to self-determination as promised by its leaders. He also appealed to the UN, OIC and international human rights groups to take notice of the Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir. »

Jammu, June 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched a massive cordon and search operation in Poonch district of Jammu region.

The troops cordoned off several villages in Saujiyan and Loran areas of the district and launched searches. The operation continued till last reports came in.

On the other hand, the troops launched a similar operation in Sumbal area of Bandipora district after unidentified gunmen fired upon a naka party of Indian forces. »
