Islamabad, June 28 (KMS): The Convener of AJK chapter of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi has opposed the grant of domicile certificates of occupied Kashmir by the Indian authorities to the Indian nationals.

Syed Faiz Naqshbandi in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the issuance of domicile certificates to the locals as illegal and against the International law and the UN resolutions specifically 4th Geneva Convention. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, police have foiled a protest march by transporters against the anti-people policies of the Indian authorities.

The transporters assembled at the Press Enclave in Srinagar under the banner of Srinagar-Jammu-Ladakh Taxi Services Owners and Drivers Union. They were demanding of the authorities to allow them to resume services on Srinagar-Jammu and Srinagar-Ladakh highways and sought a financial package for the transporters hit by the lockdown.

However, police disallowed the protestors to hold the march. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two persons were killed and four others were critically injured in a car accident in the outskirts of Jammu city.

The speeding car was carrying some local labourers for work in the fields when its driver lost control of the vehicle at Gondla village in R S Pura area of the district, a police official said.

The car rolled over several times after skidding off the road and rammed into some trees, he said, quoting eye-witnesses. »

Srinagar, June 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family of illegally detained Hurriyat leader, Merajuddin Kalwal has urged the authorities to shift him from Tihar jail, India, to Srinagar or Jammu.

His wife in a statement in Srinagar said that Merajuddin Kalwal had been admitted in hospital after he fell ill in Tihar Jail a week before.

“My husband is already an asthmatic patient and this has created a lot of complications for him and is more than worrying amid the current pandemic. The doctors in jail have told him that he needs proper medication and protection, as he is already having respiratory issues. This puts him in a high-risk group and makes him more vulnerable to the deadly coronavirus,” she said. »
